So we arrived in Melbourne, quickly found our ride to the hotel, where my lovely Auntie Kath and Uncle Pat were patiently waiting to greet us. After lots of big hugs we checked in and went up to our room on the 22nd floor of the Crown Promenade for a brief look around the room, before joining them again for a glass or two of champers.

After a little "freshening up" we met Auntie Kath (or as her Great-niece Emma would call her, "Kat") in the lobby and went in search of somewhere for dinner. After a short walk we found The Atlantic, a gorgeous seafood restaurant with views over the Yarra River. King prawns and grilled snapper for me, and scallops, snapper and seafood chowder for Mum & Auntie Kath, deeeelish!!

This morning we have woken to another stunning sunny day. I'm sitting here, coffee in hand, on the window seat looking out over the Southbank and out to sea, awaiting our room service breakfast before meeting Auntie Kath to explore this beautiful city....
