Hi all,
Well we left Chaloklum after we had all recovered from the Full Moon Party. We wanted to go to Bottle Beach, but because of the weather the boats wouldn't go close to the beach, so we would have had to carry our bags over our heads through the sea. I can hardly carry my bag when it's strapped to my back, so I wasn't keen on the idea of having to hold it above my head and being only 5ft the waves would probably have swamped me anyway! So we went to the North East of the island to a place called Thong Nai Pan. This is a really lovely place and I'm sure would be cool in high season, but it was pretty dead and the weather really didn't help.
The place we stayed at was really nice and had a swimming pool. Some of the lads there hired kayaks to go out into the waves, which proved very problematic for them. Everyone was watching from the comfort of the dry bar. One of the guys Kayaks hit him so hard in the face as he tried to paddles through the waves that he chipped his tooth and split his lip.
We all had a massage, though it seems we all got the same thing, though had ordered different massages. Emma and I were in pain afterwards though...
We only stayed here 2 nights as the weather was really bad and we decided to head to Koh Samui, where there would be stuff to do even in the rain!
Our last night on Koh Phang Nan was good though. We met a large group of people and all went to a bar/club called Hideaway, after playing drinking games involving having to eat chillies. Luckily we escaped this fate, though another girl we were with didn't and promptly ran out of the bar crying!
The trip to Thongsala was funny (I think I was still hammered!). It was raining heavily still and we had to sit on the back of a jeep with tarp over our heads. It was very, very bumpy and one of the jeeps we were following got stuck in the mud.
We made it to the boat, soaking, hungover and rather pissed off (sorry Mum!)
