Hello from beautiful Banff!

We have finally left British Columbia and arrived here in Banff this afternoon. Sensible little sis did some research and managed to find us some cheap flights so we've decided against the bus/train pass option and gone for flights to get us around over the next few weeks. We flew to Calgary this morning and then headed straight for Banff. It seems to be a lovely town, snow capped mountains all around us. For the first time in weeks, the sun came out today. We're staying around here to chill out for a few days before we go off to discover some more of the Rockies. Hoping to hire a car for a few days next week, though we'll probably have arguments about who is the driver!

Vancouver island was great last week. The capital, Victoria, has a really British feel about it. We went halfway up the island to a beautiful little town called Tofino. Then down to Nanaimo before we got the ferry back to Vancouver on Sunday. Tofino was great, but we were bored in Nanaimo....pretty little town but not much to do there on a rainy Saturday evening! I was glad to get back to the city to be honest where things stay open later than 5pm!
