Well helloooo from Vancouver! After almost 3 weeks as a professional tourist, I have finally taken some time out of my hectic (!) sightseeing schedule and got around to setting up my blog. I hope you enjoy reading it...

So, a quick catch up on the last couple of weeks. I've been staying with my little sis (Vic) in her apartment in downtown Vancouver. She finished working a week ago so we have been spending our days doing as much sightseeing in Vancouver as possible. Vancouver is a fantastic city and it's easy to see why it frequently tops the polls as one of the best cities in the world to live in. Set in self titled 'Beautiful British Columbia,' it seems to have it all....beaches, snow capped mountains, stunning scenery and a laid back 'west coast' lifestyle to go with it.  There are also more Starbucks in this city than I've ever seen before! Coffee drinking seems to be the Vancouverites' favourite pastime, along with ice hockey...they go crazy for the home team (the Vancouver Canucks) and matches are on almost every other day at the moment. 

Tomorrow we have to leave Vic's lovely flat and youth hostel it up! We've spent an entire day cleaning and packing up, so we're all ready to go now. We're leaving the city tomorrow morning to go to Vancouver Island for the week. Apparently it's beautiful so I'll let you know if it lives up to our expectations!

Our rough plan is to head to the Rockies on May 8th and then fly over to the East side to see Nova Scotia, Toronto and Montreal area. Canada is so vast, you could spend a year here and several months just in British Columbia.
