Copacabama is a lovely little town on the massive lake titicaca- apparently one of the highest altitude lakes in the world! We got there in the afternoon so decided to climb a hill to watch the sunset..... Almost killed me- definitely due to the altitude and not all the food and wine I have been consuming! Really beautiful views over lake titicaca and the town! That night we got some grub of trout from the lake and when to this dingy bar where a wooden flute band played and they literally rocked the joint! That night I went for a little wander to look at the stars and saw at least three shooting stars before deciding it was too cold and going to bed!
The next day we organised the tickets to Isla del sol and Arequipa. That morning just casually strolled around the town looking in the shops and of course eating! That afternoon Johan and myself hired a row boat and I must admit I did just lie back and enjoy the rays whilst he worked away rowing! I did have a brief go and just zig zagged a lot so stopped pretty quickly! That night we had some pretty good Mexican food and a early night.
Last full day in Bolivia and we got the boat across to Isla del sol for a trek from the north of the island to the south. Beginning of the walk was lovely with wonderful views of the lake and mountains and then the boys decided we were on the wrong trail and we had to walk up a hill which was absolutely silly at high altitude! Finally made it to the next trail (which I admit now was a lot better) and they decided to back track which I had no interest in so I just carried on solo dancing to some tunes admiring the views- a really great walk over all!
The next day we just got a day bus to the wonderful city of arequipa!!!
