Day 7 29/6/11

Had an early breakfast and headed off to get train into town and then to Florence.After 90 minute journey, headed straight for Galleria dell'Academia to visit David. Line was miles long so decided to go back later.Climbed 463 steps to the top of the Dome of Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore and got some amazing pics of the town from high above.Explored the town a bit more and eventually went back to the gallery. After an hour or more finally got in and admired the big fella in all his glory.He's pretty impressive and worth the wait. No photos allowed again. Headed back towards hotel. Bus driver missed hotel stop then got straight onto highway. Next stop was miles from nowhere and took an extra 2 hours to get back. Checking out early in morning and heading to Venice for the day, then on to Prague.
