Day 7 29/6/11 Had an early breakfast and headed off to get train into town and then to Florence.After 90 minute journey, headed straight for Galleria dell'Academia to visit David. Line was miles long so decided to go back later.Climbed 463 steps to the top of the Dome of Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore and got some amazing pics of the town from high above.Explored the town a bit more and eventually went back to the gallery. Day 6 28/6/11 Slept in and missed breakfast. Caught shuttle bus into town and spent the afternoon exploring some shopping districts.Back at hotel by 6, swim, pizza and wine for dinner.

Day 5 27/6/11 Breakfast at hotel, now off to Pope Ben's place then into town. Pretty good day all up. Waited for 2 hours to get into Vatican Museum but was worth it in the end. Got to see Sistine Chapel which I missed out on last time I was here. Pity there are no cameras allowed as it is quite amazing. JPII exhibit also in open due to beatification. Day 4 26/6/11 Arrived in Helsinki at about 7am after little sleep on plane. Boarded straight away for Rome. Eventually made it to hotel in Rome at about midday. Checked in and rested then had lunch by the pool. Probably heading for an early night.
