On route up to Svolvaer we had a funny ol ceremony for crossing the Arctic Circle. It was basically thanking "God of the Sea Neptune" for letting usenter his dominion. I'll post up a video when i get the chance so you can see what its all about.
Our last stop before Harstad, Svolvaer. We didnt have much time here but i dont think there was much to do except see the "Ice Room"
Its what it says on the tin, a room filled with ice, well...not just ice there are some pretty cool carvings, check the pics. There was also an ice bar so of course we had to endulge in a traditional Norwegian spirit in a shot glass made from ice of course.
Back on the boat for more lovely food and more games of Yahtzee, oh yeah we forgot to mention that we played a silly amount of yahtzee whilst on board, we are both now pro's and except all challenges from you lot.
That evening we carried on the Arctic Circle celebration and had a traditional Norwegian drink, i forgotten the name but it was basically team with some rum in it. Quite nice actually but we couldnt drink a lot of it. Had some fish cakes and watched some more faint northern lights but had high hopes for our next stop Narvik where we have read its a great place to see the lights!
