To copenhagen the land of the Danes Viking and where our Firend Nicks from so we were frightened!
On route a rocking German gentleman from hamburg gave us some great places to visit, he turned out to be a music agent for up and coming bands all over the world, he did have an air of power metal to him.
Arrived feeling a little bit shattered from the power of the repperbahn in Hamburg we headed through the centre of CH to find our Hostel. Lucily it was slap bag in the middle of pubs and all the like so throw our bags in and headed out for grub and drink.
CH a lovely place indeed gentlemen reading this may look into it to woe a lady, i only had luke though, thought of putting a wig on!
We eneded up in a pub by the waterfront ate some local food, pickled herring and then as usual started talking to the Bar staff. This time an English lass from Kent, turns out she is leaving Denmark and having a party the next eve she invited us to.
On that note a few beers and headed out trying to find a bar that the German Gentleman told us about. After trying to hunt them down we ended up in the worlds smokeist pub and enjoyed the pleasure of a few pool games, after our lungs had recovered outside it dawned on us how much the danes like to smoke even when riding bikes and their were alot of bikes! One of the bars the German chap had given us, we found out from the bar staff was just a door on the street we had walked past countless times trying to find it, oh well is wasnt open that night but is suppose to be one of the best places for music in CH.
The next day we headed around cheking the sites and strangley stummbled across a parade for the queens 40th Birthday which was nice! A note on the Danish army and maybe why Nick H B is the way he is, they spent most of their time smoking pipes and rollies taking pictures of themselves and playing really strange whistle music.
That eve we headed back to the pub at the waterfront to meet up with the kent lass and her freinds for the leaving do, straight away we relsied we had met some great Dans and we were in for a wild night.
Jumped on a bus and train to head into town to a place called Drone cheap beer and Sprits may have drunk a pint of rum and also baileys from a shoe (check out the pics) We then danced with a starnge sri lankan man who said he knew chana and was infact his distant cousin once removed! We danced the nightaway mainly staying alive on batterey a scandanavian energy drink! On route home luke stumbled back with the local fast food off a large sausage wrapped in bacon in bread, after two kebabs we were starving!
Overall copenhagen was a marvellous place and one both of us will head back to!
Now, next quick stop in Sweden then to Norway, ROCK ON PHILIS!
