Woke as early as poss to get LRT to the Petronas Towers so we would get one of the 800 tickets given out each day. When we finally found the queue there were around 30 people already there but just sitting on the steps around it. They had put newspapers and bags in a neat line from the ticket office to save their places. So we walked to the back of the queue and placed down a hat, paracetemol, packamac, vaseline and suncream to mark our positions. Spent about an hour watching Coupling on the iPod until they opened the ticket office. When we entered the atrium of the tour there was this weird machine that simulated the sway of 75cm at the top of the towers, basiccally it was a chair on a runner that moved backwards and forwards when you sat on it....pointless. Watched a video of how the towers were built and it turns out that it involved 'Malaysias largeset single continuous concreete pour', which made me and Pat laugh. As we were so early we were the first to step out onto the SkyBridge. Afterwards we were taking photos from outside the towers and some right weirdo came up to us and asked if we could take a photo of him infront of the tower, turns out all he wanted was a photo of him with the girls.
Went to get some breakfast, I had an egg roti and on the way saw the most rediculous park job. It was a really nice car and the driver had reversed over the top of the curb leaving a gap of about a millimeter between the curb and the car. Headed to the Craft complex and had some more food, tried sticky rice wrapped in a banana leaf for the first time. Then made full use of the toilets because they were free and really nice, as I took one step out of the cubicle a bloke was stood there and he asked if I needed a taxi, I couldn't contain myself and just burst out laughing and walked off. Wandered around and saw some blokes doing Batik, there were some really detailed and impressive pictures there, turns out each one takes him 2 weeks to finish. Found another guy doing carvings of owls, also really detailed, the smallest ones take 2 12 hour days to do and they're only the size of a 10p piece. Bumped in to another mini kids playground so spent a while enjoying ourselves there, probably a bad idea as it was so hot and we all got sweaty backs again, we joked that we'd leave the hostel with travel towels draped over our backs under our shirts to soak it up tomorrow. Everyone but me got a Subway and we sat in the air con untill all traces of sweat had disappeared. Walked around a massive shopping mall full of clothes and the girls found some new tops to wear. Attempted to find Chow Kit market to walk around the woman at the ticket office in the LRT told us to go to station PWTC and walk from there, when we got there we asked a couple of locals how to get there and they told us you couldn't walk it because it was 5km away.
Went back to the hostel and showered then went out to eat at the restaurant on the corner, asked if they did Naans, turns out its a Chinese so ended up ordering sweet and sour pork. The waiter forgot my order but actually came and told me that he'd forgotten rather than pretending they had the order and delivering it hours later than the others, was really nice, def in the top 5 meals since traveling. Walked into the KK mart over the road and bought 2 bottles of whiskey and a bottle of gin. Sat in the room drinking to the name game, turns out I'm s*** at the name game and Pats the nuts, every letter he gets given he comes up with a double to switch it back the b******. Showed pat a video on youtube of some kid playing guitar hero and when asked what he was watching he said 'my god, this nine year old's doing things I can't even imagine' so we all had a good laugh at that and carried on drinking with HCC. Had to go get another 2 bottles of whiskey, the first one we cracked open was called Toreros and it actually smelt of sick so drinking slowed down a little bit. Passed out at some point.

Not suprisingly we woke late. Had an English brekkie on the rooftop bar of the hostel and then headed to Chow Kit to check out the market. Turns out that you can get to Chow Kit from the PWTC station, its about 500 metres down the road and on the right. Found some cheap cakes and got photos of the girls posing in front of them, we all managed to refrain from buying anything. Wandered around the fresh fruit, veg and meat area and decided none of us were actually gonna buy any fresh meat so we left before we got any more blood on our feet up the backs of our legs. It started to rain quite heavily so we went in the nearest mall we could find. Got the LRT to Bukit Bintang in the golden triangle again, this time there wasn't a silver midget sitting on the corner. Went back to the hostel and chilled before heading out to Kenny Rogers to eat, turns out they were closed so went for Nando's instead, I don't think their sauce is as hot over here as in the UK, and half a chicken is definately too much food for one person.

Took the LRT south to go to Desa Waterpark. Thought we could walk to the waterpark from the station so started walking down the motorway, was like something out of Alan P. Crossed the motorway and asked where the park was, we were told we needed a taxi to get there but they couldn't fit 5 in one. Turns out we had walked completely the opposite direction to the park so we walked back along the motorway and managed to find a taxi driver that would take 5 in his cab. When we were driving along there were a load of police on the side of the road and the taxi driver looked really worried and said 'oh...police' so I ducked my head and luckily they didn't spot us. Arrived at Desa waterpark and got some rubber rings or tubes as I've been told they're called. Spent a while having races down the waterslides, but one of the slides was way faster that the other so that didn't really work. Went to the lazy river and Pat bombed in arse first and let out a manly grunt as he found out it was only thigh high. Spent the entire time tipping each other out of the tubes and trying to throw the tube over each others heads. Found the best power shower ever in the middle of the lazy river so stood under that until we couldn't take the pain any more. Went to use the slide again and as we were waiting for the girls to come down some really fat kid came down and then tried to get out of his tube but fell out like something out of a cartoon, me and pat literally had tears in our eyes. Queued up for the Thunderbolt and splashed puddles over loads of Malaysian kids while we were waiting. As Pat and Helen got in the raft pat slipped over and landed flat on his back on the steps and there was a faint 'oooh' from the Malay queue and nothing but laughter from the rest of us. The thunderbolt's an uphill waterslide, every time you go over one of the waterjets it's like someone whacking you with a bit of 2x4 on the arse. It was so hard to hold on and we were slipping around all over the raft, really good though. Spotted some people doing the classic gladiator duel on platforms in the water, one girl spent about 5 minutes trying to get on to the platform and couldn't so had to give up her go. Spotted some Tekeshi Castle style stepping stones, but the lifeguard wouldn't let us run across them to start with, we had to use an overhead rope. When the lifeguards changed we tried again and this guy let us do whatever we wanted. The furthest any of us got was the third stone becuase they were all so wet and slippery your foot just shoots out from underneath you unless you land perfectly on each one. After a little while we'd started a craze and all the Malaysian kids were trying it and laughing at our failed attempts. Eventually the lifeguard got up and showed us how to do it, he got all the way to the end and I have no idea how he did it, he must have practiced it every day for years.
It started to rain really heavily again, seems like 4pm is the raining time in KL. Tried phoning for a taxi to get back and the woman on the other end just said 'No Teksi' and hung up on me, so we waited for the rain to stop before walking to bus stop. Found a taxi on the way and went back to the room. I wore my dice shorts and realized that there aren't any dice with 5 dots on them! I've now only got 3 items of clothing left in my bag that I haven't worn yet. Went out to eat at an Indian, on the way saw some freaky guy in shorts so quickly got a photo of him. Me and Pat ordered the Beef byriani with a Naan, it was so good, got an entire beef steak with curry sauce all over it and loads of rice. Saw the freaky guy again on the way back so got a couple more photos. Got back to the room and spent the evening finishing off the last of the whiskey and watched nearly all the episodes of The Inbetweeners a couple of Simpsons and played cards. Me and Coops both got woken up by Helen going to to loo at about 2 am and couldn't get back to sleep so watched some Malcolm in the Middles.
