Me and Burns walked to the reception to ask if the Canopy Walk was open, they were no help at all absolutely useless. So we had to get a boat to the other side of the river to find out. Turns out it was open so we had to go back again and walk up the steepest hill in the world to let the others know. We all stocked up on water and chocolate and crossed the river, Coops got water on the other side of the river and was charged 3 times the price. This trek was much more popular than the Bat Cave trek, the path was flat and easy to traverse and there were loads of other tourists, we only saw 2 other people on the Bat Cave trek, there were hundreds of people on this walk. Saw a weird blue and
black snake on the way. When we got to the start of the Canopy walk Helen was too hot so she got her baps out, a little Malaysian girl saw and looked really freaked out and started pointing them out to her mum. The canopy walk is the longest in the world at 550 metres, and gets up to 45 metres high at the highest point. Coops informed us that she isn't 'affraid of heights, but doesn't like being high up when there's nothing to grab'. Walked to the top of Bukit Terasek to the view point, it was up hundredds of rediculous knee high steps, may as well have gone to a legs bums and tums class. Some Malays gave us some questionaires to fill in atthe top a nd handed us some weird chocolate tube thing that was impossible to eat when we'd finished. Chatted to an Aussie couple, and eventually had to leave due to the number of flies whizzing round everyones faces.
On the way down the girls made a racket jumping down each of the steps two footed. When we got back we were nackered so just played games and slept. Ate at another floating restaurant, I stupidly ordered a burger, which the waitress forgot so after
about half an hour I got it, it was the greasiest and smallest burger ever.

Woke at 6 to get the bus to Terantut. Found some weird bread with coconut in it to eat before getting the bus to Kuala Lumpur. As we entered KL saw the first road accident of Malaysia. Turns out teksi drivers are reluctant to cram 5 people in in this country so we managed to find the LRT and took it from Tittiwangsa to Masjid Jamasek in Chinatown. Attempted to find somewhere good to stay, eventually found the Backpackers Travellers Inn right next to the market in Chinatown and bumped into a really helpfull guy on the way that gave us details of all the things to do in the city. Got the bags off our backs,
showered and got out of the sweaty clothes we were in before eating at the chinese on the market, ended up having 3 little bowls of jalapinos on a plate of rice. Went for a strole round Chinatown, loads of people selling pirate DVD's. Don't make the mistake of looking them in the eye or they will literally follow you for 10 minutes thrusting ring binders of DVD's in your face. Coops managed to find a shop selling a white strap top that she's been looking for since Chiang Mai when it got ruined. Went back to the room to relax and decided to go to the Golden Triangle in the evening. The area's littered with
shopping malls but we were there too late so decided to go back later to check them out. Ate in some chinese fast food place. Pat spent ages blogging while the rest of us went to the rooftop bar and played s***head, bloody mary and pairs. Helen's really good at pairs but awful at bloody Mary. Got to the room and spent ages setting up the 5th bed and laughing at how s*** it was. It was so bad that if you sat on one end of it you fall through and end up with your arse on the floor.

Ate breakfast in Chinatown, had a self service buffet thing. The lads had curries, mine was what I was told was fish curry but honestly don't have a clue what it was. Walked to the KL Lake Gardens, Pat lost the map in the shop on the way so we kind of guessed and walked in the general direction. We thought there would be a flat area to play frisbee but it was really hilly with loads of roads winding through the middle of it. Found a planetarium on the way which had a monument to some Chinese bloke that discovered something, it has to be the s***test monument I've ever seen, there were stairs going up both sides, when you get to the top there's nothing there. It started to rain so we sat at a table in the park and the girls got some snacks while we played cards, Helen is the undefeated king of pairs. Saw a rat squirrel and a couple of woodpeckers. Found a
childrens play area so we spent ages bombing down slides and sitting on the swings, there was a babies swing there which I managed to fit in and almost got stuck. Managed to find a taxi driver that was willing to squeeze 5 in. Turns out the way we walked earlier was a really long way around. Walked along the same road as last night to eat in a curry house. Ordered Lamb/Mutton byriani and after they served it they told us it was too early for a Naan, but they must have seen how depressed we were because they came out and said they'd do some Naans for us. Wandered to the golden triangle again and entered How Yat Mall, to look for a small laptop so we can keep up to date with photos and blogs. It has to be the best gadget mall ever, there were 6 floors full of laptops. Picked up a fairly decent one and went to Starbucks to check it out. Sat down next to 2 Germans that had both bought exactly the same laptop and were testing them out too.
