Hello hello,
So Naomi rejoined us for a week before setting off to the Northern Territory and how well timed her bus was....
We saw her onto the bus then met Sally and Toby off theirs and we all waved Naomi off 2 minutes later - amazing!!
So, obviously, we sisters had alot to say so Toby thought he could get away with a bit of a snooze on the train but no such luck, we made sure we kept him awake!! Haha
We stopped off at the bottle shop for some wine and the guy at the till recommended a pizza place for dinner so we went with it and ordered 4 large pizzas which were really yummy. We saved some for breakfast so we had room for pudding. Toby ordered cheesecake and we've never seen a bigger slice, it was huge!! Very funny.
The next day we took Sal and Toby into the city planning to show them around a little bit.... we walked past Federation Square and into the first pub!! lol
There was a wierd guy who sat with us to tell us his life story and to practice his proposal. Think he was just getting wasted in order to get the courage to do it that night!!
We moved swiftly onto the next bar before heading back to get glammed up for the greek restaurant. There were no menus or prices so we weren't sure what to expect. Then the waiter came over and said he'd bring starters and after that he just brought out a load of meat and seafood. So random but was brilliant.
Sally told him it was Lucy's birthday so he went to drag Lucy up to dance which we found pretty funny and then he grabbed Sally too which me and Toby found even funnier, especially when the music doubled in time and he led them outside! Hahaha.
Apparently I laughed too hard though and karma came to bite me on the bum...
The waiter set Sal and Luc free and then declared 'Debbie it's your turn, I'll pick you a special belly dance'!!! WHAT!! He went on to try and lift my top up saying I needed to show some belly for the dance then tied a teatowel on my head under my chin. He didn't come back for a while so I retied it like a pirate but he wasn't impressed and put it back the way it was.
On the dancefloor we had a go a belly dancing and then he decided to sexy dance!!!! So embarrassing but of course Sal Toby and Lucy were in hysterics. I did get a free shot out of it so that's something.
Sal and Toby left for Brisbane Saturday morning and we had new housemates move in in the afternoon but then had nothing to do until the lovely Lorna stepped in.
Lorna was our customer from Country Energy and as if it wasn't enough that she provided tea and a goody bag, she then invited us to stay with her in Geelong.
We went over Sunday afternoon and her husband, Andrew, cooked us a roast dinner which was amazing. We had a bit of a play with the kids (Harry, 6 and Elliot, 3) before they went to bed then drank wine and watched clueless - brilliant. Next day we dropped Harry off at school where they have chickens and baby chicks!! Then me, Lucy, Elliot and our tour guide Lorna set off on the Great Ocean Road for loads of cheesey photos and a yummy burger.
We saw wild kangaroos and koalas one of which had a tiny baby just coming out of her pouch - so cute. I stood in the road under the famous archway and we paddled at Bells beach.
We didn't make it to the 12 apostles as we had to get back for Harry but what we saw was awesome. We then took Harry aswell to Geelong beach where they have loads of random statue things which was another opportuniy for quality pics.
It was a really brilliant couple of days.
Bonnie (housemate) and I are now in competition for who can do the most swivells on the trampoline and I think Lucy will join us too so will keep you posted as i'm sure you'll wait in anticipation!! haha
