Tuesday 23rd May- first day on my own as PA went ok, palyed pool with Matt again in the evening. Then headed to the police station to track down a random guy who was supposedly 'friends's with Kathy- turns out he stole some money and possessions, and was not really an Ozzy like he said- the police came with us to the hostel- his facial _expression was a treat! Wednesday 24th may- Today had a good chat with the conductor, James Judd; he could not believe I was the niece of my uncle- he had not made the connection- but knows my uncle well! Had to make a dinne reservation for him, JLW, and the PM of New Zealand- great stuff!I moved hostels today- smaller place and even closer to work!! Made a few friends and went out for drinks with them. Our mate won $100 on the rugby so we got free drinks!Ended up getting back at half 3! Thursday 25th May- had a great massage at a reduced musician's rate today- he said my back was 'b*****ed'- oh dear! Friday 26th May- flew to Auckland today for a board meeting!Got a window seat on the plane which was sweet! Before the meeting- went to an education concert in Auckland Town Hall- it was fantastic to see how enthusiastic the children were- 2 of the children even got to go up on stage and conduct the NZSO!!Got a taxi to the meeting and had a great chat with James Judd; he is very into education!The 4 hour meeting actually went quite quickly- I was sure I had written far to many sides of a4 notes!!Then we had wine and crisps before heading to the Auckland concert. I felt a bit drunk after one glass of wine- very odd! I only stayed for the first half as I was so tired. Headed back to my hotel suite and ordered a delicious chicken curry- was brought up to my room- was loving it! Watched lots of tv and fell asleep!Was so relaxding being in such a nice hotel with my own room! Saturday 27th may- got up and went to the free gym!I then managed to get a hair cut for $25 dollars- cheap compared to $80 plus cut in Wellington!Went to the great bargain clotehs wharehouse in Auckland and got a whole outfit for $60 dollars!Went back to the hostel and found Peter waiting for the taxi- had a caht with him and found out he knew Peter Wright (one of my university lecturers frrm Nottingham!! Got back and legged it to meet Jathy, Charlie and John- we went and coocked dinner at a mates place then headed into town; most of the drinks were bought for us as Kathy and Charlie knew most of the staff in the all of the bars we went to!!They went home early and so I met up with Matt in McDonalds- I ate a bit of burger- there goes my 'im nto going to eat a mcDonald's whilst im travelling' promse!!We then walked up the hill to the terrace and attempted to go to a party of a guy whose flat I was looking at - we got to the door and a guy walked out and said he was going to get drink- we had none so we thought we should go and grab a bottle of wine. We drove round in the taxi trying to find somewhere that was open but then realized it was 3 in the morning! We went to some bars and then I lost matt and this random guy so I went home by myself after waiting ages and hunting in the bar for them! Sunday 28th MaY- Went to a cool sunday fruit and veg market, then went and did some mail outs- i was too tired to do anything else; stuck 1000 stickers onto envelopes!!Went back to the hostel and spoke to two Brazilians!!Took one of them to the sunday jazz at LIdo. Went to Jet bar to say goodbye to Kathy-the Hurricans rugby team were all there!!! Monday 29th May- got no sleep tonight due to people in my room waking me up so... Tuesday 30th May- my boss told me to come and stay with him and his wife for as long as i liked! I took up the offer- which was a good decision! Wednesday 31st May- first major mistake- got the boss's flights wrong- but maanged to sort it- phew!In the eve i text a few random people i had numbers for re; flats. Then met up with one of them and went to Sports Cafe. Matt also had an English mate from Luton- we had plenty to talk about- mainly MIlton Keynes haah!There was a great band playing too and i kept requesting songs- then headed to Shooters and met matt.Played some pool then went to Kitty's- Matt and i nearly got thrown out as we were falling asleep on the bar stalls but they thought we were too drunk! Thursday 1st June- first day at Peter and Kathryn's house; their house was so nice. Their daughter came round and we had great meal and wine! Friday 2nd June- got completely lost on the way to work!Went to cinema with Russ- saw Candy- was not exactly light Friday entertainment!Went to Love Locks to have a drink with Matt after. Saturday 3rd June- worked at Lido cafe today. Went to a concert in the eve- Peter was conducting. Sunday 4th June- met up with Nick- another guy whose number i had re flats; he works in the Maori department for the gov-interesting! Went to a really nice bar.I ended up talking way too fast after a few glasses of wine haha!
