So here we are again, in the internet cafe with sticky key board...FIT!
So after the hussle and bussle leading up to the beauty contest its been rather an eventless week for gossip, i say that...i got asked for my number and email 3 times in the space of about an hour...sadly not from the love of my life Lasgne (thats how his name sounds) i've put this sudden interest down to the fact that these day i smell of fire and b.o and have nice greasy smoky hair...this is what happens when you are constanly neard burning wood! Or cnt be bother to burn wood to wash your hair...or can't gte the stupid thing to work.
Im sure everyone will be happy to know we had good food (too much) at sperm last week and the choc milk went down a treat, infact Em and i are going after here for a good brain freezer again. Also managed to get a toaster...we clearly hadn.t though the whole thing through however, as we only get elec at 6am - 6:30 am its rather a nightmare to have to get out of bed to make toast and generally speacking we for get aboput it at night! OH well! We have used it once and specially brought crumpets for dinner this eve so we get some use.
For got to mention last week about Umpermetsi and her nakedness...i know!!!!
I was walking past the changing rooms at the Beauty contest when to my horror i saw a pare of t*** looking at me...not the bird type sadly. They had not put any paper at the changing room windows and Lasagne, petros, chitsy and kiss were havin a right oggle. So me and sarah soon covered that wondow up peering through each crack (excuse the term) and telling the boys off...actually quite funny when you think about it.
Wed was day off (presisdents day i think) so we had a lie in, and em made chocolate cake...a man came and knocked on our door and told me i was incharge of water irigation...news to me. I did my job well though so now our plants are nicely watered...lovley. Then headed of IN THE LIGHT to the spot we had wanted to Bri at the other night...found it and had a lovley evening chatting a drinking and eating...ems choc cake went down a treat (though sarah doesn't remember eating any...shame really as she had two peices!)
We climbed (bottles in hand) to the top of some rocks where we could see over the bush, it was amazing...we sat and drank and watched the sun set...before heading back down to cook some yummy food!
Thursday we went to the local school with Kidibunya (who we found out is sleep with Martin...drama drama drama) and saw 326 children...scary!!! Asked what they liked about top banana...was really nice we hoped that this would inspire more to come from school on the friday!
THEY DID!!! we had nearly 80 children on friday afternoon...intense is not the word. We had spent a lovley morning with the carers teaching them how to make up pop up cards (eveyone look forward to your xmas cards this yr...im art and craftastic) they really enjoyed this and we laughed a lot mainly at my expense...but hey what ever pulls in the crowds! We shared are thoughts are we we had enjoted about the time together and i cried (i need to get a grip)
In the afternoon the kids all made cards...and there was glue and gliiter (my fav) eveywhere. If i wasnt glueing i was cutting and if i wasnt gluing i had a child running through my legs (wish i hadnt started that game) or hanging on to my leg. after this excitment we got all the kids and carers together for some photos...for thank you cards...we got them to hold signs spelling out THANK YOU and then added names of people or societies...it was mental...my favourite was THANK YOU UK BOTSWANA SOCIEY...that didnt take long!!! All the kids were chearing and shouting...it was lovely...Rick had a child on his shoulder wich we have a lovely photo of...not so good for rick as his shouler then smelt of piss...we laughed a fair amount.
Went home and had a night in Rick cooked bless, and we introduced to Em to the game scrabble (shelterd life lol) though to be fair i tried to describe as being like dominoes...its not is it really!!!
Lastly i'll tell you in short of yesterdays events....before you fall to sleep!
We watched the rugby in the rugby bar...pleasure as always...what a great game! Skillful passes and thank god we won one! Had the best curry of my life then headed back for a evening of echoustic guitar in the river bed...dried up river bed we didnt swim! It was beautiful...though we for got everything other than wine and food, so our new friend James begged and borrowed everything from a knife to black pepper, sarahs challenge for him lol Listen to mucic and sat and burnt next to a roaring fire...listened to some idiot South Aftrican who enlightened me to the fact that golf will change my life..as if!!! Got in a 3:30am and drank a full carton of juice from the fridge which i have had to replce.
Forgot to mention a geko jumped from the fire onto my chest and ran down my leg...not sure if all gekops now have it in for me or if he just wanted a good look!
Anyway off for a milk shake shake now
Love lucy
PS golf is great...its just you, the ball and the elements (what a load of crap!) sorry mum
