Right after the most hellish of a journey and finaly meetin up with Em, we waited for our next plane...only to be told after queing for 20mins that we were not booked onto the flight...how you can have conformation and still not be on the plane i have no idea...so i left em with the bags and went and qued again, this time i was waiting for half an hour to no avail so i did was lucy does best and took charge of the situation, i had to shout at quite a few people and will be writting a strongly worded letter to someone...but got it sorted in the nick of time and ran to our gate...pointless really as then spent the next half hour on bus stood still waiting for god only knows what. Finally got to the plane and was a propella plane...intense...Em loves planes did i meantion. WE were sat right at the front, and i mean the front becasue we were sat facing everyone...was great until i got told i was in charge of the door! SO BASICALLY If the plane crached i had to open the door and shimmy (my word not the hostess) to the front of the plane but minding my head as the blades would def decapurtate me...why is no journey i take ever simple? I thought she was going to ask em to take the sweets and juices round but instead just offered us them. Finally landed and was excited bout the next jouney as we would finally land in Francis Town, but obviously first we needed a little stress...the woman on imagration decided it was best to tlk to us like we had just been released from prison....where are you going? who are you with? why are you going there? etc etc etc. Then we had to fill in these forms asking if we hada cough or sore throat...nope oh and had we been near any dead pigs lately...i really wanted to say 'well yes i did snuggle up to one the other night,' but thought they may not get my humour and arrest me....i couldn't deal with that.

Finally we got through and took off...this time i was not incharge of everyones life...dissappointing really! Anyway after 50 mins we landed...the noise of the propella still ringing in my ears! We went throug to arrivals, well we stood inside a doorway and waited for our bag to be handed to us...FRancis town aiport is about a 1/8 of the size of coventry airport...is basically two rooms, however this does meen your pretty sure if they forget your luggage as you're more or less sat next to it in departures.

We got out and found Rick and Sarah quite easy to spot as they were the only white people around, We then got on the back of their truck (backie) and drove for 20 mins to place that does pizza...this pizza express...well they sold pizza and booze anyway. Had a good chat and then got bak in the backie and drove 50mins to Tshesbe...where we were staying but sarah wanted us to stay the night with them as it was our first night and our place was a bit far out...FAR OUT!!! Were in the middle of the bush surrounded by chicken farms...i'm a big fan of feathered friends (NOT) We have a big house...no furniture but plenty of bugs!!! There are two beds so me and em each have a room, a put up table with two boxs (thats our dinning room) and then two camping chairs (there our lounge) its great...we have electricity from 6am till 6:30 am (annoying as i have to boil a kettle for coffee and wash, have brought kettle into my room save me actually getting up) And then comes back on for 6pm to 10pm when its lights out...literaly! (as there is not even any light from next door as there is no next door apart from the chickens and they don't really need much electricity! We heat the water by burning a fire outside....Em is now a pyromaniac (however ya spell it) burning everything insight!) I cut the wood with an AXE i like it but its really hard work!!! Then Martin came to sort out out hot water ad we haven't been able to get in going for the last two weeks, so have been boiling kettles only from 6pm though as no electric before and obv shower before 10pm as otherwise it would be pitch black and who knows what would join you in there!!!!

The Top Banana project that we are working at is really fun, the kids are snotty nosed and smell a bit but thats all part of the fun....as we havent been washing much we prob dont smell much better anyway. The carers here are rubbish...they just sit round and chat all day and do noting with the kids, its hard because they really dnt know how to play with children as they have never seen it done before really...the children love it though playing all the games and doing arts and crafts...the carers are getting better....its a bit like Eastenders here, everyones sleeping with someone and someone else is sleeping with them, might be ya best mate or ya mother sleeping with ya bf...good times luckily another side to top banana is HIV side...so there are condoms being passed aound all the time through a special HIV Team who go out into villages and educate people about it and promote safe sex.

We are having fun, have seen most the Lions matches, from the rugby bar in FRANCIS TOWN its lovely!!! Rick and sarah are great and taking very good care of us!

We HAVE both driven the backie, me quite a bit more than Em. but she's not bad at all and only reason she had to bless was because i forgot my driving lisence and if ya caught without it on you your car is taken off you...dnt think she was very happy with me that day...but has offered to drive since.

Pick n pay supermarket is our highlight of the week...imagine spar but not as big. Its very cheap here bottle of wine only 3squid...obviously thats the main concern and a bottle of beer in 90p!!! Good times!

My last story is the Geko in my room, rather the two gekos in my room that i had to remove...emily filmed it and i only screamed a couple of times...ok a lot and i stood on the bed...but i couldnt have slept with them in my room!!!!

All in all we are fine...plenty more to tell Beauty contest this weekend...Em is a judge mainly because LOVEMORE who is incharge is in love with her...so funny we enjoy takin the piss quite a lot of the time! Other than that its all fun and games...will email soon and wont be as long i promise.
