We got here safe and sound and are really impressed with the camp site, much nicer than expected and even more drunk Aussies than we ever could have imagined. Spent the day here by the pool and enjoyed some pizza ready for our full day in Venice tomorrow! It's been well worth the trek here from the airport which involved blood, sweat and tears - literally, after i got within a 5 metre radius of minty swinging his 15kg bag onto his back. Wont make that mistake again. I have forgiven him and we are sat at the 'gondola bar' which conveniently is the place to get free wifi, win-win. I have put a few photos on here so try find them! Will update after our exploration tomorrow :)

G&D Holt Great blog and photos! Only have one Cornetto on the gondola tomorrow and stay clear of rucksacs. I wonder if the Oz lot know that little verse of mine which starts "Beneeth the Suthern Kross I stind"......Have fun but be careful. LOL, G and D
Dave Have you lost your way? Was the plane diverted? The photographs of Venice have got NO WATER in them. Is it a drought? Glad you have got to Italy and that you are safe at least while keeping your distance from Minty. Have a lovely time tomorrow.
