So, after 72.5 hours of sitting on a bus, 3 countries (4 including Vatican), 10 ice creams and countless Aussies, we have reached the last day of our trip.
We (I) spent most of the morning packing, and then went to the Louvre, it was free for students and we sure got our moneys worth as we basically just went in and saw the Mona Lisa and Venus then left, as we both have sore feet and are very tired! Whilst we ate our lunch at the food hall in the Louvre we saw a mouse, and we told the cleaner and she just shrugged and walked away.. So we didnt clean up after ourselves like usual. Mean lady! We sat in the gardens looking out at a fountain which had one duckling in, we stayed until big ducks came to look after it as it was a depressing scene as it couldn't fly away. We walked up the Champs Élysées again (very slowly). There was a huge queue at some iron gates for Abercrombie and Fitch which made us miss Alexa. It smells so good!
We really really strangely saw Mintys friend from uni, Pete, while leaving the Louvre, so we are off to meet him and his girlfriend for a drink before bed at about 10.30 hopefully as it's a very very early get up tomorrow!
Thank you for all your replies and comments on here, it has been really nice for us to hear about what is happening at home and of course have a laugh at G+Ds comments when we are feeling home sick!
Bon voyage!!!
(sorry if this last blog reads like a disney story about various cuddly animals)

G and D I'm trying not to think too much about your feet...... Hope they can just get you on to the a/c and then you will have a trained nurse available to look after them. You could well be paddling around at Luton which will cool them down. Very much enjoyed all your adventures and I wonder what I will do early each morning with no blogs to seach for........ I had hoped to be in a full dress C. Const. kit for yr arrival but blew it. No change there then. Just aged pith helmet mit flip flops and a "poor white" outfit. No comment reqd por favor. Safe journey with a smooth landing. We'll be pleased to see yr arrival on the Luton board @ 0920 followed by sighs of relief all round. LOL, G and D
Simon So pleased you've not only done the cultural stuff in Paris (i.e. Mona Lisa, Arte d'Triumph), but also a very comprehensive tour of Paris's wildlife - congratulations. See any rats?
