Hello!! We're back in BANGKOK! Ko Samui was great! we ended up spending 5days bumming around sunbathing, being harassed by suit selling men and eating take away from the local night market! It was pretty perfect and really didn't want to leave, our little beach bungalow was ace, and i hate to admit we got slightly hooked on the Zone Reality channel!
We decided to catch the boat to Ko Phangan on the friday and planned to head to the other side of the island to a remote little bay but the taxi drivers at the pier were asking stupid amounts of money to go there so in the end we decided to hop back on the boat and go straight to Ko Tao instead!
Ko Tao was a really cute little island, the sea was amazing, had loads of coral which meant it was shallow and warm by the beach. Felt like you were sitting in a bath! We moved to a few different places but ended up with a bungalow on the beach front with amazing views and Lionel the giant lizard that hung out on the celing of our veranda! We decided to go scuba diving for a day and it was AMAZING! We were proper nervous before hand but so glad we did it! we had two instructors just for me and rob who were brill, we went out on the boat and they suited us up, we practiced a bit of breathing then they were like, right time to jump in! It all happened pretty quick so you couldn't really worry that they'd just strapped a massive weight belt and tank to you (i looked pretty special trying to walk around the boat!) and you were about to jump into the sea! But it was great, we did the basic skills in the shallows of this beautiful island with the fishys swimming around us and then we were off swimming round the coral! we went down to 6m deep which felt pretty safe and the coral was beautiful, the sight was called the Japanese Gardens because of all the coral and stuff. We then got to do a second dive which went down to 12m! I was alot more aware of how deep we were, but i was still amazing will so much to see!
After relaxing on these amazing islands we decided that with inly two weeks left to go in thailand we wanted to cram as much more stuff in as we can! So we're got the boat and then the bus (7.5hours!) and we're back!
