hi guys! been here 5 days now, feels like ages! Rob's already getting a tan and i'm still really white, not a suprise! The weather has been scorching! I really didn't expect it to be so hot, our second day was apparently 40degrees!

First day we got here we went for a wander round the Khao San road, and saw a couple of temples and rob found a bullet on the pavement (we then reliased the pavement was covered in holes!) then we headed back to the Khao San road for Thai new year water festival. It was pretty amazing, the street was full of thai people with water pistols, bottles and this white paste that they put on your face as you walked past. We ended up joining in and gettting very messy!

Next day went round a load of temples then went out in the evening for food and then to some bars.

Saturday we got the express boat down to china town and found a new guest house hidden in the backstreets. China town in the evenings is amazing, so many food stalls on the street and pavement with manic traffic!

Went to Grand Palace this morning it was impressive if a little sweaty coz you had to wear long sleeves, trousers and shoes! Tonight we've got tickets for Chiang Mai, we're getting the overnight train which takes 12 hours, but luckily went for the one with air-con! Looking forward to getting up there and hopefully seeing some of the north.
