Woke up early, about 8 I think, so got up and went to get brekkie. It was another beautiful day on Magnetic Island!! Saw Laura, who had been there for a week - can see how you'd want to stay, this place is amazing! Chatted to her - she's doing a scuba diving course on the island! Went and chilled by the pool and read my book then met up with the Jersey girls, Beth and Lex. Went out the front of the hostel and saw their rented car! It was a total Barbie car, pink and everything! Soo cute. I climbed in the back and Lex drove us back to the rental place. Was amazing, driving in the topless car on the most stunning island in the sunshine, wind in my hair, perfect! Was gutted when we dropped it off!! Went into the supermarket so we could all get something for lunch, then found out we'd missed the bus by a few mins and would have to wait another hour or walk.... so, so glad we missed that bus because we made a decision - to rent the car for another day!! splitting the cost between 3 of us made it a good deal, and I wanted to go round the island anyway so would have had to pay for buses. We went back and even managed to get a second day discount! This was a different car, even better! Even the seat covers were pink and the radio in this one worked! Jumped in and headed back to the hostel where we popped on the computers and all got lunch. Had to wait around for the girls so read on one of the hammocoks for a bit - was eager to get back in the car so was happy when they were ready to go! We drove right across the island to HorseShoe Bay, one of the most famous bays on the island. It was stunning , clear blue water, perfect sand, beautiful! It was really quiet aswell which I didn't expect - the whole island feels so quiet! Suprised its not full of tourists, it's the most perfect holiday destination i have come across. We parks the car, laid on the beach and read, slept and chatted. Went for a swim which was lovely then dried off before looking around the shops. There were only a few, a little stretch of cafes, restaraunts and souvenier shops by the beach. Had to buy an ice cream in one of the cafes, was delicious! We then got in the car and went to Alma Bay, where the girls had visited yesterday. This was a smaller bay and even better than Horseshoe. The cliffs curved round so it was enclosed by the cliffs and forests and the beach was small, with a picnic area and BBQ's behind it. It was sooooo nice!!! I had brought a postcard in one of the shops at Horseshoe and from where I was sitting I had the exact view! Felt very lucky. We chilled out there till it started to get chilly, then got back in the car. Beth had a little drive around the block - she never drives manuals so wanted a go! Technically i am not allowed to drive (got to be 21!) but I had a go around the block and loved it! Felt like a proper Barbie doll! Was so good to be driving again too! Because I am used to manuals unlike the girls they said I should drive back. There was not another car in sight so I did and it was fine! Loved it! Picked up Rhian along the way who was on her way back from the supermarket. Past a few groups of school kids too, gave them a wave! Popped back to the hostel to drop of Rhian and pick up a jumper then headed to Geoffrey Bay where there are rocks by the sea, and living on those rocks are wild Rock Wallabes! We ahd been told you could feed them at sunset, and I thought that maybe we would see one or two if we were lucky, but there were LOADS all jumping around the rocks! They were so much cuter than the ones at the zoo (didn't think that was possible!), tiny and really tame. Are obviously used to being fed! We fed them carrots and they were adorbable, let us stroke them and everything. It was a beautiful setting for a beautiful experience. Unfortunately, Bath cut her thumb while cutting a carrot and wanted to head back so we drove her back, dropped her off, then popped to the bottle shop to get some drinks. Went back to the hostel and got showered and changed then went and made myself pasta again - was even yummier than the night before! Definately improving my cooking skills! Went back to the room and packed then chilled in the room. All the girls were in there so we were all chatting. it was ladyboy night at the bar, so we convinced Torben to let us dress him up - it didn't take a lot to convince him to be honest! Went for a cowgirl theme and gave him my cowgirl hat, a little checked shirt and denim shorts, did his make up and piled on the jewelarry - he looked too good! His competition came in the room to see what that were up against - two guys from another room, oe of them being the guy from Bournemouth I had met at Airlie! We headed to the bar and got some drinks, there was a limbo comp then the lady boy parade - our guy won!!! One guy had dropped out because he was too embarrased, anothe rugy had entered so Torben only had two competitors but he won by a mile :-p Won a $50 bar tab so we all got some drinks from that! Sat round chatting and drinking for a while then headed back as the bar died down. All ended up chatting in the room for ages, then there was a big chat going on about marketing which I zoned out of, knew if I statrted talking/thinking about it I wouldn't stop! So i rolled over and had another really good nights sleep :-)
