Another lie in! And another lovely day with Mike! Got up around lunchtime again and it was another nice day, not as sunny as yesterday but still warm. Went for a walk round town, found the post office but it was shut so couldn't send our postcards. Had some lunch in the park then walked to the bottom of the gondola, which takes you up to the Skyline Complex overlooking Queenstown - The gondola was actually pretty scary, was really steep and rose 450 meters!!! Was a big drop! The views from the top were incredible! Our long walk the day before looked tiny and the lake looked huuuuge! We watched some people bungy jumping of the Ledge Bungy, the other bungy we could have done. You get great views and as its so high up but you only actually drop 37 meters. Like how I use the word "only" after doing Nevis, haha?! We then had 5 rides on the luge which was brilliant! I was soo pathetic at first, going really slow, but then a women about 3 times my age zoomed past me so i had to pick up the pace!! Plus, Mike finished the course way before I did! By the 5th go I was finally confident enough to whizz down, but got stuck behind a slower person half way down and couldn't overtake for ages which was a shame, wanted to beat Mike!! There were photos at the finish line and every time I forgot and you could see the pure concentration on my face! i was really trying my best! Was good fun. Went back down in the Gondola and Mike took me to a mini golf centre! It was brilliant! Themed as a city, 18 holes, all really well done with lots of sound effects and mechanisms :-) I liked the ski lift where your ball goes up it. You even get a lolly at the last hole :-p And to top it off, I won!!! Was still way over par but still beat Mike, needed to after the luge! Then we strolled back into town, popped to the cinema to check times as we fancied going, then came back to write some more blogs (I've had a lot to catch up on!) and upload photos before going out. It was really nice to chill out and watch a film, even if the film was very strange! it was "Black Swan" with Natilie Portman in it, it was worth watching though, glad we went and saw it! The cinema was really nice too, not very big and better than Vue! Came back to the hostle and had to pop online to read about the film as it was pretty confusing, then decided to finish my blogs so here I am, finally up to date! Its our last full day in Queenstown tommorow so we have to pack which wont be fun but hope we will do that quickly so we can enjoy the day :-)
