Pasotti Family
- Up at 7:15 am, ready for the day
- Went to the buffet breakfast included as part of our stay. Wow! The food was offered at multiple fresh cooking stations with so many choices! Ethan had Pancakes, pastries, and doughnuts! I tried some local (I think…) options like noodles and sausages and an array of other foods - all tasted great! The mixed juice was amazing also.
- After breakfast, we got cash out and walked briefly along the beach. We're getting used to all the locals trying to sell things.
Back to the hotel, to be picked up at 9:00 am and taken to the water sports. - Quite a drive…! Very interesting to go through the very narrow lanes with the traffic chaos (single lane with obstacles everywhere and cars going both directions…).
- We tracked the speed, at times felt like we were flying given the conditions, but were never over 60 Kmph, mostly much slower.
It's amazing how things all work together in the chaos, we were welcomed and all was made clear as to what to expect and all very friendly, and then left for a while and we wandered around. Asked what time we would go at, then all suddenly happened! - We were asked to put on life vests, and then, with another group of ladies, told to jump into a boat quickly. This boat then met another boat, which we were whisked across onto, and before we knew it, we were Parasailing! It was like chaotic clockwork.
- The rest of our group did the Parasailing then over to a new location where all new people somehow knew who we were and what we were to be doing and basically on to the jetty, onto another boat, then another to do the donut boat & another (perhaps 2, can't remember) to get to the fly fishing.
- Ethan loved the parasailing! The donut boat was rough, but I found it okay. Ethan enjoyed it but was worried he would fly out, which it looked like he could a couple of times.
- The fly fishing was quite something. It was very smooth, and the guide who was on it with you worked really hard to re-distribute his weight to keep it balanced.
- Were dropped off back at the other jetty (away from where we started), when picked up and shuttled back to the starting point.
We were provided lunch, which was great. I was given a foot massage, which was different…
We were then driven back to our accommodation. - Booked for Water Bom tomorrow, then went to the pools.
Our first stop was the pool, which we hadn't been to yet. We had a lot of fun making up games. We tried the swim-up bar for something different (Ethan got a milkshake). This was quite unique.
Then we went to the beachside pool and made up more games. - We went back to our room called the girls and Ethan mainly spoke to them for a while.
- Then went for a wander into town; we did a short walk around the block and ended up (back on the Beach) finding a place to try some food. Ethan just got Chicken nuggets and chips, and I tried a back pepper chicken. The black pepper chicken was amazing! Ethan tried it and loved it - so we got more or him & I got some noodles (a bit like Pad Thai - but not quite). Everything was amazing.
- Decided to go for a walk to a shop to find something for desert, end up coming across a performance with dancing, fire and dancing with fireworks! This was very impressive.
Following the performance wandered through a large mall, found somewhere to have ice cream & sat outside opposite water bom and ate our ice-cream. - As we walked back to the hotel, we heard a huge bang, and fireworks set off on the beach right next to us! So we watched this impromptu display before going back to the room.
- Settled in, and while writing this, watching more fireworks in the distance typing this again!
