SORRY :

The last blog was cut off due to the fact it was Friday night and the PE dept were going to the pub for an hour . Sorry but the pub was much more interesting and inviting . The only problem is that you drive everywhere here so no drinking but it was good to get the chat .

TO CONTINUE : Well I have been here at POE for almost a month and have found it quite challenging . The Kids ( sorry students ) have been testing me . John and Neil :the wee lassie from Clydebank has been giving it laldy on some occasions . But as you always said . There is only one winner ! I am getting there . It is the same language all over the world when it comes to kids . No matter the accent .

Having said that there are of course lots of nice children out there but with such big numbers it is hard to find them . Enough about school just now .

The Good Stuff :

My two nephews Colin and Drew with Drew's wife Laura came over for a trip and after they were in NY they came to DC . It was only for a weekend but it was great to have them and do the sight-seeing bit . DC is great and look forward to exploring it more . The real highlight was going to see the first home game of the Washington Redskins ( American Football ) . The Fedex Stadium holds 90,000 and they are all Redskin fans . Amazing .

No tickets to be had we set off to find a ticket tout . 300$ seats for 100$ We were delighted and the seats were FAB . All I can say is that the rules were interesting and the live game AWESOME as the Redskins won in the last 3 minutes .They now have a new fan for the coming year .

I was sorry to see my visitors go but look forward to the next group in October . Anne and Ian from Scotland and Stuart ,Mel and Emily from Long Island .

Heading for Little Rock , Arkansas next week-end on Fulbright stuff . Will let you know how that goes . Meanwhile do keep in touch . I do like to here from you all .Sorry I don't get back to you all but I do not yet have access to PC at home and do not want to spend more time at work .
