Lovewells vs The World
The end is nigh! We are on the last day of our time in Singapore, and it's the last day of our holiday. Just enough time to pack a bit more in before we get on the plane... After our very late night last night, we slept in then went down to brunch at the buffet, we rolled out of there an hour later, and I took the kids up for a last swim in the amazing pool. It is 3 Olympic pools long! We checked out but left our bags at the hotel, and went exploring. We went to the gardens next to our hotel for a walk through - they are stunning, must admit though, we found it very hot today, so decided some air conditioning might be in order. We headed over to the Singapore flyer, which is a Hub for many activities. There we discovered a 6D theatre, so we thought we'd give that a try... It was amazing! We were screaming our heads off and laughing our heads off all at once - at last we could join Gemma on a roller coaster! It was so much fun we decided to go again with a different film. The first one was the Canyon Coaster, which was unbelievably real, and the second was Speed sixty, where we did a street race and leapt of buildings etc ( the guy we were being was a bit of a cheat!)...that one really threw us around. The adrenalin rush without the danger, but we all had jelly legs after anyway! We regrouped over an ice cream in an indoor garden, a nice way to picnic (and calm back down!). Next we joined the duck tour, an amphibious vehicle that took us around the sights and history of Singapore, then up the river to show us some of the extra activities on offer. F1, kayaking, and flying kites are all going on the agenda, along with Sentosa and the science centre. The duck was fun, but hot, so we were glad to head back to the hotel for a shower and change Before we left for the airport. Changi airport is lovely, as far as airports go, and we enjoyed the butterfly house and the kids centre crayon rubbings to pass the time. The airport is very calm and relaxed, very different to Paris , U.K. And LA. And now, as I write, we are about to board our plane and head for home, so I guess that means the next blog post will be our last. For this trip anyway!
