Lovewells vs The World
Here is what each of us took from our search for Santa... Search for Santa day was absolutely amazing. After fuelling up on more breakfast than I thought was possible for one family to consume, we hopped on the bus and headed deeper into the Arctic circle on our mission to find Santa. We took a reindeer sleigh ride (beautiful), went on toboggans, tandem skis and snow scooters. We took a husky sled, and I can honestly say that driving the husky is the most amazing experience of my life. We went inside igloos and down ice slides. We explored the magically lit reindeer forest. We crossed frozen lakes, and finally, deep in the forest, half way up a hill....we were set upon by some cheeky elves, who led us to a hut, and there he was! It was great to finally meet the great man! So to my verdict - Is Santa real? Well, I have always believed in the magic of Santa, and can happily say now that I absolutely know he is real. He is different to the Santas in the malls, but is everything the songs and traditional images portray. He was lovely! After finding him we were able to enjoy many more activities, such as eating traditional pancakes in a Finnish teepee, snow hockey with a couple of other families, ice fishing, sled surfing, and building a giant snow cat. We ended the day late after a swim, followed by a big gala dinner, utterly exhausted, totally content. Robyn Search for Santa day, hooray! We started of by doing a husky sled ride, and it was amazing. The huskies went so fast! After that we went on the mini skidoo which was super fast. We went zooming down the toboggan hill, and crashed a couple of times.... Another thing we did was a reindeer sleigh ride, and our reindeer who was pulling us was the strongest. At last we got to go and search for Santa! Some elves were outside, and they had put some presents in the snow! We were pulled in a sleigh by snowmobile, and found Santa in his cabin! He gave us reindeer cuddly toys, and they are adorable. Lots of people say Santa isn't real, but after this I am sure he is real! His beard isn't white, but grey! The elves were called Trixie and Sprinkles, and they took a selfie on dad's phone. We don't even know how they got Dad' phone! At the end they threw snowballs at us! After that we went ice fishing, but none of us caught a fish unfortunately . We also played snow hockey with a couple of other families in kids versus adults. The kids thrashed the adults, of course! After that we went on the mini skidoo again - and again - and did toboggan surfing! We built a snow cat, but someone knocked it down. We also made the best snow angels ever, because the powdered snow was so deep! When we got back to the resort, we went to the pool before our gala dinner. There were these jet thingies that blasted bubbles of air from under the water. It felt like you were sitting on a cushion! At the gala dinner we ate so much we almost burst. We did so many awesome things but the best thing of all was meeting Santa. Gemma On search for Santa day yes we did find Santa! We went to his house in the forest and we found it by snowmobile. It was very warm and cosy. He gave us each a special early present because we had travelled so far to see him. He gave us cuddly reindeer. He is real, this is how I know: 1 the beard. Artificial beards are white. Santas real beard is greyish and cream with some silver. 2. His belly. Santa is actually a really big man. He doesn't just have a big Boulder belly. You can tell it is real when you stand next to him. 3. He knew our names, and he knew I wanted Lego for Xmas because he had our letters we posted in NZ 4. His clothes are proper Santa clothes, not a costume 5. Mum nearly fainted when she saw him Santas elves played tricks on Santa and told him I was called Gemma! My best thing about the whole day was meeting Santa. But I loved everything else we did the best too. Daniel The search for Santa was brilliant , A wonderful day. It started with a bus journey to the Artic centre. What came first was a chance to do a husky sled ride though the wilderness. It was an amazing experience- really peaceful. Huskys are sure endurance animals who thrive on the work. The owner is a Husky/sled multi world champion who adores and cares for his dogs.(He has 130 of them). Next we did toboggans, and a reindeer ride though the woods , which was a lot of fun. The Ice slide ,tunnels and house and sculptures were great to see. Then came our search for Santa. We went on a sled to find him. Crossing the frozen lake was a buzz and as we came off that and started up an incline there were signs of Santa. we were in the woods and rounded a corner, and what did we come across!!! ELVES. Cheeky elves. Elves that led us to a cabin. It was a log cabin, with a wreath on the door. We could see lots of presents through the windows. And upon entering that cabin was the man himself .THE REAL SANTA. Daniel was really awestruck with Santa.:). Other families saw Santa in his office, and meeting with some elves. I guess there is a lot for him to do at this time of the year. We also did snow hockey and ice fishing which was lots of fun. With heavy snow falling all around during the day, It made the whole experience feel very magical indeed. So... The verdict: By unanimous agreement, the official Lovewell verdict is that SANTA IS REAL!!!

Zaine Hi Daniel. Sounds like you have been having an exciting holiday. I can't believe you saw Santa...did you see the other children's presents from around the world? Any chance that you saw mine? We loved your snow cat, did it's whiskers fall off from the cold?
lovewells Hi Zaine, Santa was the best! I loved meeting him for real. I saw my present but it was wrapped, and I saw lots of my friend's presents because the Wellington presents were being wrapped in the same place. I can't remember all of them but I think I saw a swivel scooter for you, and Lego Dimensions for xbox for Hamish. From Daniel
