Today was Niagara Falls! I'd been told it was really touristy (and tacky), so wasn't quite sure what to expect of the day. We got the bus round the lake to Niagara. Our first stop was the chopper. A 12 minute flight over the falls. It did look pretty spectacular - but if I'm honest the Grand Canyon was definitely more impressive from the air. Still worth doing though! Following the awful storm in Washington last night, we set our alarm for 3am to catch our 6am flight to Toronto. Little did we know that when we'd wake we'd get a text saying our flight was cancelled. Last night we went to a bar called Level One, as recommended by our Segway guide... We had food and a few drinks (me just one - boring sod). Buffalo wings wooooooo. So if I slept two hours last night, that's it! The lovely old jet lag. Luckily, we had to be up at 5am to get the Greyhound bus to Washington DC. The bus was amazing - well as amazing as buses can be. It was a 4.5 hour ride. As soon as we got out of Union Station and were on the way to the hotel, I knew I liked this city. It's wide streets, clean footpaths, everything was so clean, fresh and airy. Complete contrast to NY! And I can now see why this is the capita...
