Hello!
Well, I'm sure that you'll all be saddened to hear that this will be the last blog entry from my trip as I'm leaving for London today! The trip has been amazing and I've experienced and seen so many things that I never thought I would. Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, white water rafting, fraser island, watching the sun set on Koh phangn, the whole of Vietnam - I could keep going on and on!
Anyway, we've been in Bangkok for a couple of days now. It's quite different to the rest of Thailand and seems to be the kind of place that you either love or hate. Personally, I prefer the other places that we've been to in Thailand, as the traffic and smog here get too much sometimes. But then, I guess it's similar to any other city in that respect.
We did a couple of day trips whilst we were here. One day we went to Kananchaburi and visited the Bridge on the River Kwai and we also went to the ancient city of Ayutthaya which had loads of beautiful ancient ruins. Another personal favourite was visiting the floating market just outside Bangkok - it was so much fun getting a boat and floating up the river, stopping off at stalls when you wanted to buy something! Oh, and I nearly forgot about the show we went to on our last night about the history of Thailand which was amazing! The costumes and dancing wer brilliant. They had elephants walking through the audience and a river on stage - well, I can't really explain how good it was, but it was very good!
Anyway, i just want to say thank you for all of your messages - it's been quite nice logging in every now and again seeing what people have written (Tamsin and Paolo get a special thank you here! It's time for you two to get back to work now!). Anyway, I shall be off and will be seeing people very soon - how exciting!
Bye bye

P.S. It's not quite the end as I'll put some more pictures up when I return...
