G'day from surfers paradise! Just to make you all feel better, the weather hasn't been that great today, but hopefully soon it'll brighten up. We've been here for 2 days and it's very different to what we have been used to - it's quite a tacky tourist resort but it has been nice to laze around again.

Anyway, today we had a surfing lesson!! Oh it was a laugh. We got to get dressed up in wet suits which we all looked very good in (!) and had our own board. After a bit of standing practice on the boards on the beach, we got in. There were 5 of us in our group and after a while of lying down we went onto trying to stand up. I managed it once before falling off which I was quite pleased about. Our instructor (who was an idiot) kept picking on me and telling me to get out of the sea and practice on the beach - I don't think he was that impressed with mine, liane's or brett's skills but nevermind, we had fun! We've got quite a few pictures of us in action which will be put up soon so you can all laugh at us - we look quite good if I do say so myself...
