After a couple of days chilling out and getting to know my cousins in Maroochydore i headed up to Hervey Bay (meeting Martin - a mate from Meribel- on the way!). Here i met back up with Julie and Emma from Byron Bay (completely unplanned).

I did a day tour of Fraser island as that was all i had time for and i got to see the majority of the sights on the island. We saw the Maheno Shipwreck which was awesome, Eli creek, Lake McKenzie, the coloured sands and sand blows. After a busy day i had an early night to prepare for the mad few days that i knew awaited me.

Catching the bus early fri morning we headed to a cattle station inland at Kroombit. Here we went out on horseback into the outback and mustered up the goats- great fun! We then had a go at lasooing, goat rodeo (where you have to catch a goat and brand it) and clay pigeon shooting! We rode back to have a full roast (shared with a spider in my case!) learn to crack a whip, and then had a competition on the mechanical bull (i was awful lasting a mere 4 seconds!) lol

The next day was pretty boring spent on a bus up to Airlie Beach. Here we tested out the nightlife with a girly night out.
