Again, another loooooong Bazbus trip which meant we arrived at the Home Backpackers hostel at 1am. The hostel owners were fantastic, and there was a lovely pool and a lovely woman who hung out our washing to dry!I think she thought we were a bit daft, because i was pointing to the tumble dryer when asking how much it would cost to do our washing!
To be honest, we lounged around the pool all of Wednesday and then realised on Thursday that we were meant to have gone on a booked trip. Ooops. We ventured out on Wednesday night to a nearby club. We were told cheap shots, so we didnt care what the music would be like. But we arrived at the 'alternative rock' club...known as 'Burn' which had warm welcoming flames rising up the walls in the entrance. We were slightly apprehensive but once we got in there we were fine...well sort of. We slowly got into the groove- the difference between dancing to funky house and to alternative rock is that you have to fling your limbs around to the rock tunes and nod your head totally out of time. We managed to fit in quite well, well Lou did, because she could get her hair to fly everywhere, and it was an experience to say the least. I found it quite difficult to move on the otherhand, not because i couldnt dance, but i realised i had sprayed my hairspray instead of my deat spray on me to get rid of those pesky mozzies. I wondered why i was feeling a little sticky!
The following day, we chilled by the pool whilst playing a few songs on guitar.
Next stop, St Lucia.
