Lakeshore West

Left for Heathrow this morning at 3am. Flight all went smoothly with good food. Only bad point-no Simpsons or Family Guy! A good assortment of films to keep me entertained! Arrived in Toronto at 11.30am local time-4.30pm UK time. Hot and sunny and a few clouds in the sky.

After a traffic jam on the freeway (It's a civic holiday-Simcoe day) arrived in Oakville. Was pleased to sip on Mountain Dew Blue and check out the stunning views of Lake Ontario. Changed into summer wear (a strange thing for me to do in August!) and walked down to lake to dip my feet in (was advised against this-but I still have my toes now!). Then strolled down to Coronation Parkand enjoyed the many BBQs taking place (no didn't eat at any them) and the beach volley ball. Quite hot but didn't go in the water park bit.

Now planning the great trip across Canada by train. Good news! Dennys has just opened across the road!

It's now 6.30pm local time and I'm feeling sleepy but must stay awake so I can get onto Canadian time. Until tomorrow.....
