Hey, Just a quick entry. Been chilling on the island again today, able to upload a few more pics. We went out thurs night as 1 student was leaving, and met some other med students,locals and aussie volunteers which was cool. Then went in hosp fri and saw a c-section, it was in one of the new theatres though so not too different, other than the surgeon was wearing flip flops and his hands free set and answered a call during opening the uterus, interesting!! ...

Doing paediatrics all week so spent some time doing new baby checks on 1 day old babies which was quite nice,except there was a huge spider on the ward!! Hey, Got a bit more time on the internet today so can write a bit more. Its only 2 dollars an hour in this cafe which is less than a pound! Tried to sleep in today to pass a bit of time n get over jet lagg, but it didn't happen, dogs barking outside my window and the cleaners started cleaning outside or splashing water around at 6.30 am! Hey, Made it to tonga, eventually!! this is just a quick note as im tired and need some sleep! It was a bit of a shock to the system, being here and being on my own, but after a wander round I feel a bit better. Its just a lot poorer than i expected. Lots of palm trees though which i like!
