The fair at night was a lot of fun, lots of drinking, then some drinking, music everywhere, drinking............ Went on an insane fairground ride with Kathia (before we started drinking properly!)

At some point during the night Pinky and Kathia dissapeared, they were both pretty drunk so we figured they had gone home so we had a few more drinks with Jorge then headed back. I crashed in bed, in the morning I discovered that Jorge had crashed Luis´mums car trying to go home and Kathia and Pinky had been arrested because Pinky didn´t pay for a piece of meat at the fair!!!!!

So, we then had to charnge the wheels on the car and.....Rooooaaaaaaaaaadddd triiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!!

Now on the map it doesnt look that far to Catalina does it? Well.......took us around 8hours. Not a direct road.....not a finished road!!!! Poor little car could only just manage the rough roads through the beautiful countryside, very lush and rural. Lots of little houses made of palm, mainly farmland and the odd little town. Passed through Santiago where there was a stadium showing a bull tournament. Stopped in a traditional bar in the middle of nowhere, locals listening to the bull tournament.

Eventually got to Catalina that night. Lovely little place on the beach $30 for a room. Perfecto! Had some food and drinks and a walk on the beach. Then at midnight....and i had to wait.......i got a present from Luis and a muffin full of candles!!!!! And happy birthday sung in Spanish heheh

Luis gave me a beautiful Tissot watch. Belisimo! Turning 30 on a beach in the Carribean with an amazing man....what more could i want!

The next day was spent on the beach, swimming, boogie boarding oh and drinking :/ The plan was to go back tonight but we decided to stay another night.

Later had a game of dominoe......but if you passed you had to have a shot of rum.........you can imagine! However I was playing pretty well so didnt have that many shots, i was still quite sober and thought, ok to hell with this and took a shot for the hell of it....New rule, if someone takes a shot for the hell of it, everyone has to take a shot! Messy. At some point another rule cropped up that if it was your birthday you had to have 5 shots!!!!! Oh Dear, thank you Luis.

The next morning....hungover, sunburnt as hell because i forgot to put sunblock on my face, i am clever like that.

Very beautiful place though, worth the long drive but it would have been better if we had a 4by4 to make the journey easier and more comfortable. We had planned to go to san blas on wednesday but the road is even worse, you have to have a 4by4. After considering that it would be more expense to hire a car despite the fact we already have one, and that we have to get it fixed now, and my face had started to look like a tomato, we decided that san blas would have to wait for next time, which statred us thinking about getting a car out here so we are looking into saving up for a Toyota Prado to buy out here and Cesar can look after it for us as he doesnt have a car at the moment and needs a 4by4 to get to the house.
