Well this is the first five minutes i´ve had to add anything, been go go go!
Flight to Madrid was around 2.5 hours, i slept for around 2. Instant transfer to plane to Panama, slight delay but no big deal, flight was 10 hours or so, very rtedious for Luis, I slept around 8.5 hours....well we did get up at 4am!!!!!!!!
Anyway, arrived around 6pm local time. Luis´cousin Jorge picked us up from the airport and we went to The Causeway, a strip of land they have built into the sea to join a small island where there are a few bars and resturaunts and you can see Panama city light up acros the shore.
Panama itself is a very good looking city, glass and steel skyscrapers built on the coast - a little like Miami.
We had a few drinks and some food with Jorge then went to La Chorrera to Luis´parents house around 10.30pm. Said a brief hello to his dad and woke up little Luis to say hello, then crashed.
Woke up around 5am the next morning, spent time sorting our stuff out then went into town with Dad and Luisito (little Luis).
Stopped to get a Chicheme which is like a milkshake with sweetcorn. Very nice taste but kind of bizzare texture.
Got Luis a sim for his phone so he can use it locally, I cant use mine like that so left it at home but I am borrowing his mums blackberry as she is still in Texas for the next week or so.
Spent the day going here and there in town, dropped Luisito off. Got new speakers and mp3 for the car. Tried cow tounge for lunch mmmmoooo. Actually very nice. The house is a little way outside the town, the town itself is fairly small but has everything you could possibly want and there is a new motorway to the city so it doesnt take long to get there.
Temperature is around 30 degrees....loving that.
Did some shopping in Panama city. Huuuuuuuge Mall. Very good prices, came out with bags full of new clothes!!!! Met up with family friend Cesar and spent some time in the Mall with him then he took us to a resturaunt in the city and i had a mix of typical Panamanian food, ceviche, yuka, fried corn, chicken, beef. Everything is fresh and soo tasty. Very hearty country food. Good beer too!
Around 10pm we start to drive back and Cesar and i both fell asleep in the car! Poor Luis. I went to bed while Luis dropped Cesar home.
Woke up around 7am this morning. Today is the day of the fair so we went into town for breakfast then picked up Luisito and Jorges´son and took them to the fair.
Lots of stalls selling knicknacks, all sorts of food and drinks, and areas to show local produce such as Pineapples, watermelons, corn etc and an area to show cows and horses. The cows are very good looking! I will post some pictures when i have a bit more time. Had a looooovely pina colada and a juice made from squeezed sugar cane - very healthy and refreshing. We spent all day there looking around and the boys went on all the fairground rides etc. Dropped the boys off and went back home to get ready to go back to the fair for the night because they open bars and have music and discos etc. So shared a shower with a gekko and we have just got ready now and are waiting for Jorge, Luis´friend Pinky and his girlfriend Kathia to arrive so we can all go together.

Mum Sounds as though you have caught up with sleep. I expect you will have a busy few days as you meet new people. You have certainly been busy since arriving. It sounds lovely, 30 degrees., good food and drink. Are you able to communicate? ..... maybe time to learn Spanish. We are in for a cold spell but at least the rain has stopped for now...........stop smiling. x
