Hi everyone,

This is our last night in Byron Bay tonight, so of course we are going to have to go out and party ;-) We LOVE Byron Bay, its so cute and everyone is so friendly. The place we are staying in, Backpackers Village is great and we've had really good fun here. We are sharing an apartment with some Canadians and some Danish people, ( I got a little confused when they said they were from Denmark and for some bizzare reason, I thought for a spilt second that Denmark was in Holland)!!!!! EEEEk, I know, it was a very tiny blonde moment, but hey we all have them!!! Anyway, everyone is really nice, and the apartment is lovely, and clean!!!!! With no bed bugs!!! And....... the staff even come in everyday and clean the whole apartment, its great!!

We've been for lots of long walks, and today as the weather wasnt great ( Theres been a cyclone or something somewhere alond the East coast and we are getting all the yucky bits of it) we walked to the Byron Light house, which is MILES!!!! It took us 3 hours, all uphill, but it was worth it, the view was incredible!!!! Just a shame it wasnt a sunny day. But we did go up their the other day ( by van though) at 5am!!!!!!! yep, we went out the first night we got here, got a little tipsy ;-) and then got up the next morning, well it was like the middle of the night, and went to see the famous sunrise up at the lighthouse, except the weather was so bad we didnt actually see any sun rise ;-( Booooooooo , It wasnt great but hey, we tried!!! Byron Bay is the most Eastern point in Oz so thats why the sunrises are so popular, but we didnt get to see it!!!! Of course, we got back at 7am and went straight back to bed.

Our apartment is self catering too which has been good as we have been cooking, (well not really cooking, we are so skint so we've buying cans of cheap soup and living off them ;-) ) Its just like being back at Uni again. All the other guys in our flats have been cooking really posh fancy meals but Sam and I are just too lazy!!!hehe.

The weather when we first got here was fab and we were just lazing about on the beach, but its been raining loads because of this cyclone so we've been stuck indoors, apart from today. Weve been watching lots of free movies though with everyone and we even watched Finding Nemo twice the other day as it was raining solidly for 7 hours!!!!!!!!!

So tomorrow we're heading up to Surfers paradise, which is only an hour from here, I dont think we 'll stay too long as we've heard from lots of different people that its extremely touristy, and expensive, in fact lots of people have said its like Benidorm ;-) But we will expereince it ourselves first and see what we think. We only have 3 weeks left so have to make sure we have time to do everything. We have also booked our package for Fraser Island, which is where you go camping out in the sand dunes with all the scary dingo;'s, nice!!!! You get given a jeep and then you all go off in groups and camp out in the wild for a few days. It sounds fun. And the package also includes our sailing on the Whitsundays which I am soooooooo excited about!!! We do that for 3 days, and we get to go sailing, snorkelling ( well maybe for me) and we sleep on the boat for 2 nights. Cant wait. The package deal was actually really cheap and it includes 9 nights accomoodation up the EastCoast.

Well thats all for now, we are going to a Beach Party tonight over the road at this place called Cheeky Monkeys. Im sure any of you that have been to Byron Bay have been as its pretty notorious. Theres no dancefloor, its crazy, you have to dance on the tables, which is literally the dancefloor!!!! Oh yeah, I saw my first snake, I thought I would have seen loads by now, but I havent, or a spider!!!! All you guys at work who were trying to scare me!!!!??? But the snake we saw was in a bush, and it wasant actually that big!!!

Thanks for all your messages, Em, those puppies were sooooooo cute, they were tiny and loved me, they were like MY puppies ;-), I actually really miss them and hope they are coping well without me ;-) Oh yeah em, you know I said I was worried about my hair, and it going red, its actually almost blonde again!!!!!! Its crazy, the sun is making it so light.

Can somebody please also tell me what is going on with Britney Spears???????? People have been saying she tried to comitt suicide but we havent heard that> If someone could please fill me in, that would be great, thanks ;-) You know I love my celeb goss etc. hehe.
