Greetings again from sunny NSW!!
We have began our travelling up the east coast! we are currently in a place called Coffs Harbour which is about halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. the drive was an absolute killer for sho'. Lloyd and I or how Sydney now knows us - Lloyd Nutkins and Koala Murf because of our connection with nature! we left Sydney this morning at about 7am and arrived in Coffs about 5pm. killer for several reasons - 1) we got in at 3am this morning from a "quiet" couple of pints 2) a bus ride is no good if you are hungover 3) it took ages!
so what have we been up to.... well, we went on a trip to the Blue Mountains national park - gorgeous! absolutely stunning and roughly the same size as Wales! So nutkins and Koala got our stuff together and headed in search of some mischief! it did find us ok in the form of a lad called Sean from London. we had an absolute laugh, he's a Millwall fan so he had plenty of stick! he was also travelling in Aussie on a working Visa and Sean became our company for the weekend! quality lad. plenty of stories to tell you all when i get back but one of the main ones was that we were honored to have a ride on the worlds steepest railway line! a record 53 degrees vertical! the three amigos that were, couldnt get over how much Ting tongs and Jackie Chan's use their camera's. "Ahhh Foto foto, snappy snappy!" you name it, they took pictures of it. Kangaroo s***, lizards sunbathing, them taking photos of each other. Lloyd was getting well annoyed and almost had to have a quiet word with his fist and their earholes!
speaking of which, we got back from our day of mischief and decided to see what Sydney had to offer in terms of nightlife! Sydney was quality, end of discussion. Sean came along with us so we had a blast and we found out that students are no longer the hardest party goers! Travellers take the biscuit! we rule! thank you Nos da!
After a very very good night, nutkins and koala decided to see the sights in Sydney. cracking weather btw. some days it struggles to hit the 30 mark!hee hee! so we saw the usual stuff, the harbour, the bridge, the opera house etc. wondering around still slightly half cut, we ended up making friends with some Indigenous Australians, or Aboriginies to you less eductated ones! Sean then mentioned, have you been to the Rocks? (another sight in Sydders) i know a quiet pub! tidy! The Lord Nelson was our destination. 3 pints of home brewed ale later, we were ready for my first Aussie BBQ experience! another awesome night in Sydders, this time under the stars, munching on skippy steaks! lovely jubbly! will update again soon
