Lloyd and Eve go on holiday!
Day 150- We checked out at 10am and after being up through the night I found it extremely difficult to get out of bed. We drove to Hamner Springs stopping at Springs Junction for a coffee and a rest from all the travelling. It was raining heavy when we arrived and I was feeling terrible, I had the worst stomach pains even though I was dosed up on pain killers. Lloyd and his family headed out for a little walk around the tiny village while I slept. When they returned we had bubble and squeak and sausage I managed the sausage but at least it was something. It was still raining heavily and we didn't know if we should go to the thermal springs or not as they were all outdoor. After humming and harring we decided to go as it was the only reason we had came and simply didn't have time the next morning. I took a load of pain killers and was feeling up too it. The thermal pools were actually quite busy and the rain made it 100% better, it was like being at a top spa resort with the cold rain cooling you down in the hot pools, with out the rain it would have been too hot. We started off in the cool 36 degrees pools moving up a degree at a time before hitting the 42 degrees pool which was VERY hot. Some pools were jacuzzi's some have water spurting out of nozzles to create massage stations and some were just for relaxing. There was also a much cooler 26 degrees lazy river which was fun. After about 2 hours we were getting wrinkly and my pain killers were wearing off so we headed back. By the time we got back to the hostel I was crippled with pain, I could hardly move. The family were heading out for drinks and I had to beg Lloyd to go with them as all I wanted to do was to try and sleep.
