We arrived in Mancora after a night bus from Lima where we splashed out and got ourselves cama seats which meant we had a pretty good nights sleep on the 16 hour journey. After arriving in Ica we needed to take a five minute taxi to a little place called Huacachina. Huacachina is located in the middle of the desert and is well known for sand- boarding and sand buggying. When we arrived the weather was great and the place looked amazing. We arrived into Cusco at midnight on Friday 4th September after a 12 hour bus journey from Copacobana,which was probably the worst journey we have had so far in South America. The driver drove so fast and with no regard for oncoming cars or the fact that we were passing overturned oil tankers and buses along the way.
