We eventually arrived in Huanchaco after an 18 hour journey to get there. It was a really nice little surfing town and by far the cheapest place we had been.We booked into a hostel which was quite nice and were paying about 4 euro a night so that was great!!We kicked back here and decided it would be a good place to save some money so we ended up staying here for two weeks. We gave up drink for November so it was a nice and quiet place to do it.Our friends in the hostel were all about the surf so they were not big into drinking much except Sy who enjoyed his rum and wine regularly!!The hostel had a kitchen so we cooked in most nights. We did not do a lot here except go to the beach and go for runs.We went in to Trujillo a few times to check out the city. The town is famous for its Caballitos de totora boats. The fishermen would go out on these boats and then surf back in when they had made their catch.People would come from all over to watch the fishermen at work. After a relaxing two weeks it was time to get on the move again and head for Nasca.
