SAAAAN FRAAAANCISCO...
Day one...after having spent the evening in Dallas Int Airport on a plastic chair, and having a panic attack at the Bank at 4a.m U.S time. I arrive at San Francisco like a wreck! So sleep occured from 10am arrival at the Downtown hostel till 4pm!
I woke up to two really nice room mates and a hunger for shopping and site seeing...Sanf Fran is the epitome of Sun and shopping, the centre of the city is literally overflowing with designer after designer! Was a little bowled over, but got a fix but buying some running shoes! haha!
The first night took me to the SFMoMa which is full to the brim with excentricities. They run talks from the Curators everynight about different exhibits, and thursdays are half price FYI! I was intrigued at the complexities of the architecture show, to be honest it bemused me, but their latest creation is based on IP code. It was really interesting. Its well worth the visit.
I decided to drag Barbara up Goldengate bridge to check out the view and take token tourist pics...otherwise known as TTP's! *of which I have a few now! THis amazing bridge is definatley a spectacle not to be missed! :D We walked up along the coast up to the MArina and fishermans Wharf, its not a short walk but the views are glorious and the food at FM was fabio!
The evening was spent in an Irish bar on O'farrel...actually I lie, we went to one of the most uncomfortable comedy shows I've ever had to sit through! It wasnt good...sorry!
I'm afraid to say that my final day in San Fran was sat outside in the park soaking up the sun and avoiding shopping...ok, so I went window shopping! It told me to do it in the Guide book! :S
The evening was spent living it up in an Irish bar of OFarrel st. The battling pianos commenced and played some wicked choones! Was very impressed...THursday and Saturday nights guys! (bit of a promo there!)
