I've just ended my last evening here in Sydney! It's gone as quickly as ever since we arrived on Saturday evening. The first few days we were quite unproductive as we had to sort out the rest of our Oz Experience tour, and then of course getting to grips with the city - getting our bearings and all that! It's been really nice to stay as a group with the people who we travelled up from Melbourne with so evenings have been spent sampling many of the city's unique bars and sites! We've managed to do the classic Opera House and Harbour Bridge tours plus a visit to Bondi Beach and Manly Beach. Shopping is amazing here - it's been an excellent chance to purchase all those things that we forgot! OOps!
Sydney is a huge city - not quite sure if i'm a massive fan, but there's a lot to do here and the people are friendly. I think that my favourite part was The Orbit Bar - a swish bar on the 47th floor of Australian Square. It was a rotating bar so we got the full scope of the city and excellent night time views!
Over the last few days we've managed to meet up with Sarah Haynes which has been fantastic - we headed over to the Botanical Gardens this morning where we saw a million bats and lots of rare trees and plants and about a million runners! Amazingly managed to bump into Nicola Brooks in the middle of the city too - small world!
We are up at 6.25am to travel North to Surf Camp and then onto Byron Bay where we'll be staying Friday until Tuesday! Definately looking forward to the surfing - especially after the fun we had wakeboarding. I'd best sign off as it's already 1am - hello 5 hours sleep! Hope you are ok - try FACEBOOK for the best of my pictures, it just takes too long to upload them onto here! Hope you are all well - missing you lots and i'll hopefully update within the next week!
