What a fun day - starting with universal islands of adventure. This place is awesome - Spider-Man, Harry potter, Jurassic park. Each area fully submersing you in the film. Love the Jurassic park music as you walk round. Mark will tell you how great I am at humming along to it as loud as I can :)
The hulk rollercoaster accelerates off so quick, amazing.
I also for the very first time did the Harry Potter ride (wearing my travel bands), very cool.
Carrying on with the things we never saw before we went into an attraction called poseiden's fury. In this you walk through rooms that appear to be parted seas with a lot of actual water and then the room you are in disappears and suddenly you are in a massive cave where images of gods projecting onto waterfalls start fighting - difficult to explain but very impressive. Then we watched the sinbad stunt show.
From here we went back to base where mark went to golf and I went out by the pool.
Then it was back to universal, this time to studios to attend the first halloween horror night of the year. Based on the walking dead, there were zombies walking around everywhere in the dark, eerie music. Their goal is to scare the crap out of you and they do :)
There were also 8 haunted houses to go through. All if them based on different themes (evil dead, cabin in the woods, American werewolf in London etc). You walk through these in a single file line where actors try and scare you dressed in line with the theme. Butchers, zombies etc. In the werewolf one, actors had very realistic puppets barking and chasing you. In evil dead the actors were mutilating their arms and faces etc. in cabin in the woods there were body parts strewn over the floor. (Gross!).
We were also able to go on the rides at night, and so transformers had to be done again! Amazing.
Mark had been trying to get me on the rip it rock it roller coaster (it goes up vertically.....), but thankfully it was closed so I could kinda relax and just concentrate on being scared of zombies.
The park closed at midnight, and feeling like our feet were going to fall off, we made our way back to the car.
