Today it was off to Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens is a park that combines a safari park with a theme park of rollercoasters and water rides.
First we watched some elephants being fed and cleaned. they even sprayed the trainer with water on command.
Then with our ponchos (we didn't want to drown today) we went off to the water rides.
Then we saw the cutest three tiger cubs ever. So playful.
A couple of rollercoasters and then a train around the Serengeti. Here we saw giraffe, zebra, rhinos etc
Then it was off to see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a real life American Football game. (Once the storm passed!) What fun this was. There is actually a pirate ship in the ground that fires cannons when there is a touchdown! We celebrated touchdowns with a foam finger and a foam sword, to then see the saints get the lead back in the last 5 seconds of the game. Exciting.
On the way back to the car park/field I was concerned that anything could be in the grass and I was wearing flip flops. So I was hurrying. If I had gone a bit slower maybe I would have noticed the big muddy ditch caused by the storm that had happened 2 hours earlier. But no - as I ran through it, it sucked the flip flops straight off my feet! After fishing then out and then running the rest of the way bare foot I got back to the car with mud everywhere! lol!
On arrival back to the apartment rustling could be heard and seen from the bushes between the car park and the front door. It looked like it was going to be big, so now we are retreating back towards the car. Then two armadillos crossed the path in front of us! Wow.
