WE LOVE YA KARL WE DO, WE LOVE YA KARL WE DO, OH KARL WE LOVE YOU!

This is the chant me & sophie single ( or double) handedly started ( well tried to) at Neighbours night! We can honestly say it has been one of our best nights since we started travelling - that guy is an absolute legend!

It was held in an English pub just out of town and when we arrived it was jam packed with about 300 english, irish, welsh, scottish BUT most definately not Aussies! Evrytime i mention to someone at work that i'm off to the Neighbours night the look of shame and disgust that passes over their face has been enough to keep me quiet! They are truly asahamed of their " awful" ( awful? i hear you say, surely not!) soap! Anyhoo, the guest stars of the night were the damn awful sleazy Dr Darcy, Izzy ( can you imagine the boys delight!), libby and Dr Karl. Not only did he sing for an hour with his fab band Waiting Room, he also posed for photies and is a truly nice guy - and quite dishy for an older man.......much better looking than on TV girls! We all danced our socks off to covers of the Foos, Oasis, The fratellis, Robbie Willliams ( argh this sounds so cheesy!) maybe the alcohol had somehting to do with how much we loved his singing! Maybe we can get a CD to check out the real quality!

We also managed to catch the frist AFL game of the season at the MCG which St Kilda won against Melbourne & we were treated to the delights of the aussie version of ' when the saints go marching in'. I caught the last weekend of the World Swimming Finals on Saturday with some friends whcih was ace. Didn't realise how great the atmosphere would be and how good i would be at predicting the winners. The 3 of us put bets on each race and by the end i'd won $4 to spend at the British Shop ( a packet of Rolos and a drumstick lolly, yipee!).

Plans all a bit up in the air at the moment. Probs be leaving Melbourne beginning of May but for where we haven't a clue! Will keep you all updated!
