Tuesday 28th December!

Lucy arrived today!! I waited in today until around 2pm this afternoon and Lucy gave me a tinkle when she was standing outside the apartment! I ran downstairs and huggled her and we chatted downstairs for a couple minutes while trying to come to grips with the fact we were both in Oz!!

We took a wander down to Bondi beach, we sat on the sand and just stared at the views, on the way back up we grabbed a cheeky drink and chatted about our travels we had been dreaming of!!

Wednesday 29th December

Lucy and I went to Bondi beach today with Hannah and Shayne, chilled out and caught some rays before heading into town to show Lucy the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge...where we would be watching those amazing fireworks on N.Y.E!! We across the bridge, high above Sydney, staring down at those breath taking views, so high up, it was amazing. We stopped at a small pub and had a lovely dinner before heading home.

Thursday 30th December

We woke up and headed for my second visit to Paddy's market, we went to Darling Harbour and had a look around, it was beautiful, the harbour docked with amazing boats and ferrys..this was gorgeous. We stopped at a pub overlooking the harbour and had a drink while talking about our plans for the next few months.

Friday 31st December

We walked to Tamarrara beach just up from Bondi and met Blaise and played with the waves today! We had a lovely lunch at Nandos in Bondi and enjoyed the afternoon before going home to prepare for N.Y.E tonight!

We got back home and got ready then head to the Opera House for our N.Y.E at the Opera Bar!! (www.operabar.com.au) This was amazing..we paid alot for our ticket but we had drinks and food flowing all night, it was beach theme so there were people dressed up in their shorts and swimming gear, people dresses nice and smart and even some dudes dressed up as blue sea creatures!! haha this was brilliant! We walked through the doors, entering inside the Opera House, and saw the Bar, with drinks stacked high behind the bar, we stood in the short queue and ordered some bevvies to get the evening started. We had some boogie time and watched the first lot of fireworks at 9.30pm ...amazing, this view was so beautiful, above the Sydney Bridge, flashing lights all colours in sequence...beautiful!!

We spent the rest of the evening we were boogying some more, holding our glasses as the waiters and waitresses were on constant re-fill watch with their champers bottles, bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles!! There were chairs, beds seating areas, tables and stools..just amazing.

They were coming round with platters, sea food, pastries, chocolate tarts, so small and cute, but just enough, posh little canapes, this place was immense! haha

It hit 12pm ...no warning, no count-down, but the fireworks serenaded us, while we stood up high on the cushioned sofas, jumping up and down watching the fire works to the sequenced music..all that was running through my mind as these blue, yellow, red, green...every colour you can think of...every shape you can imagine was lighting up the sky..was how lucky am I!! this is amazing! I actually got emotional, I started blubbing at the thought of being in Sydney and watching these gorgeous fireworks on N.Y.E! stunning!!!

Saturday 1st January 2011!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to 2011 in Australia!!!! This was Blaise's Birthday, so we were all hanging, woke up around midday and made the effort to head to the pub to celebrate Blaises day of birth...lol no alcohol today..im not that hardcore lol.. we went in to New Town to some lovely bar and had some dinner which was much needed after last night!

Sunday 2nd January

We headed into Central by train to go and see the mighty famous Manly Beach! But the queue was just so long we decided ended up grabbing some lunch at central, catching some rays and then heading home!!

Monday 3rd January

We went to Palm Beach today to check out the set of Home and Away!! It was lovely, yellow sands, the Cafe that they shoot at! So good! Claim to Fame!! We then went to the Blue Mountains so that Lucy could view the amazing mountains ! Well...the weather wasnt on our side today!! We could barely see the car infront of us! So we still arrived..brollies in hand..and took some pictures amongst the fog. We then decided to head to the same cafe we went to the first time and enjoyed another pistachio milkshake before setting off back home. Lucy and I headed to our friend Mikes house afterwards and met his girlfriend and had a catch up with some others from college! Lucy had found herself a Danish Beast that she went to meet later on in the evening and went for some drinks before we met back at the apartment!

Tuesday 4th January

Lucy and I went into Bondi and got some information for our tour, decided to book the next day, and then went to the beach after and caught some rays!

Wednesday 5th January

Lucy and I had a very productive day today! We went and booked up our trip and Carina and Jasper came down to meet us. We went and had some lunch and then chilled out on the beach after chatting about anything and everything. Lucy and I then went to meet Evelyn and Asia to say goodbyes before they started their journey up to Byron Bay tonight!! We went over to Mikes to see everyone and watched some films before heading back again to the apartment!

Thursday 6th January

We had a lovely day chilling out at the beach today! Enjoyed a chilled out night in!

Friday 7th January

During the day we have chilled as it was slightly over-cast. We then met up with everyone at Mike and Louise's and went out to 'The Star Bar' hahaha...we got to theirs and joined in the drinking games, so funny! It started getting late and then we headed out ..it was a bit of a sleezy club..but we had a giggle!

Saturday 8th January

Lucy and I spent the day at Bondi Beach, then I went over to Mikes for dinner, and we went to Hyde Park for the evening. It was such a lovely evening, a huge park for Sydney week, there were big screens, live bands, ice cream stands, a bar, and people sitting in the parks taking it all in, bright lights, bubble machines, the most amazing park! I then met Lucy and Jasper with Chris and we sat and had some drinks and fancy cocktails in the V Bar in town, it was such a giggle!

Sunday 9th January

Lucy and I spent the day at Bondi Beach!

Monday 10th January

Marcs 28th Birthday! Today we all got up early and head into circular quay to go to the Sydney wildlife world and the Aquarium! Was so pretty, we saw Kangaroos, Koalas, Snakes, Lizards, Fishies, Sharks...all animals you can think of. Amazing!! We grabbed some lunch at a lovely bar and then treated ourselves to a Lindt chocolate cake to help it all go down..eeh hee hee. We made our way back home and had a nice chill out sesh for the rest of the evening.

Tuesday 11th January

I met Carina today from work! We chatted over a drink and lunchtime snack and had such a giggle. Am gonna miss u cherry eating Aussie!! haha had such a good day with you hun, thankyou! When we went our separate ways, I went home and enjoyed the evening with Marc, Han and Shayne and we took a lovely drive to Watsons Bay..this is such a gorgeous beach, the houses were amazing, they are actually the perfect location, looking out right onto the gorgeous bay, the calm beach and stunning views in the distance. We took a stroll round the walkways and took pictures on the cliff edge as we sat overlooking the rocks and the sea below. Was so relaxing tonight! We had such a nice evening. I just got up to date on my blog...clicked save and half of it disappeared..so I will re-do the big gap and Christmas day as soon as I get the boost to do it all again lol!

Wednesday 12th January

A nice chilled day in the apartment...over to Mikes later on to see off the guys before they fly up to Cairns on Saturday..and before our Coach we have booked at the moment to leave on Sunday to Byron Bay...(if the floods dont interfier too much with our plans!) eeeek!
