Monday 8th September - well it seems we are flying through the month on paper some days seem to last forever some fly by!! We headed to Nging Ping 360 today to spot the Giant Buddha and managed to get our mic on the laptop working!! Cheers to Martin - our PC guy - no way near as good as you dad!! Ok the Tuesday we hit Thailand - yes we flew to Thailand and stayed at a place called and recommended Big John's. This place was when spoken about seemed very good although the geezer John running it doesn't quite talk right - nothing he says on the website is true about his place lol but we got there and met some cool guys who we chatted to and to be fair only slept there in the hostel lol. When we arrived we just got something to eat and had a wonder around. On the second evening there we headed to a local pub where girls drank free and yes an elephant walked on by!! On the Thurs we ventured to Chiang Mai possibly the worst trip ever on a bus freezing cold and the bus leaked when it rained overnight but hey we travelling and cheaply so what do you expect but we got there fine and sorted. Arrived in Chiang Mai and our place was cool - except we were the only ones there lol!! Funny as though when you order a meal off the menu as you do lol the woman gets on her motorbike to a cool restaurant orders if brings it back and chucks it on a plate - and pretends she's made it lol!! Well when you ask for a drink of Sprite you don't expect it to be frozen lol well ours was so off she went again on her motorbike to get us Sprite lol - not bad service eh!!Next day Saturday we headed to Tapae Gate - Chiang Mai city is based on a square one way system on the map so easy to work out!! Tapae Gate held a busy market which was great and a massage for less than a quid that lasted a good half hour - not bad when you have been carrying those huge bags around!! We also had a ride in a Tuk Tuk funny vehicles but fun!! Finally on the Sunday we went on a awesome trip which included Elephant trekking, Orchid Farm, Bamboo Rafting down a river and Botanic Garden lol!! This was amazing bit cruel to see the elephants dancing and me volunteering to be pulled around on a horse cart style by an elephant in front of a crowd of like 40 people but hey you only live once and they are well looked after. Despite both of us nearly falling in mud, and elephant dung we had loads of fun!!
