Hey everyone. My deepest apologies to all my loyal followers (if any). This blog has been overdue for quite some time. so I will now recap the past 6 weeks. Last Time we left off, I had just visited the Isla de Ometepe in Nicaragua. Let´s just say alot has happened since then.
After Nicaragua, I decided that I would fly out to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The cheapest flight left from San Salvador, El Salvador. So Tina, Leo and I hopped on a bus and made our way to the capital. Tina and Leo left the next day for Argentina, while I decided to stay the week to see a bit of the city. the first couple nights we stayed in El Centro, the old part of the city. A tad dangerous, it´s advised to be within the security of your hotel by 8 oclock, as the shops, and markets that flood the street close and pack up. After seeing the Cathedral and the Zoo (which you may have seen in the photo album) I decided to look for safer surroundings. i made my way to the eastern side of the city and what contrast. The busy market stalls and old buildings were replaced by cars and trucks speeding across the busy avenues next to the Burger Kings and Wendys. Not far away, a massive mall. I felt as if I had been transported to the states. While staying there, I made a wonderful vist to the Musuem of Natural History, and a futile search for the Stephen Hawking Musuem (Once I found it, I decided that my 2 dollars would be better spent on ice cream. It was). A few day later I was off to the land of tango and steak, Buenos Aires.
Well, I promise that I continue this blog. Soon to come, Buenos Aires and the grand (and free) vist of the parents. Chile and Uruguay. i promis it won´t be a 6 weeks absence.
