Hello!
The internet has just crashed twice whilst i've been writing this blog and you have to pay for it, it's pretty expensive where I am now, so apologies that these blogs are pretty quick! I will email you when I have more time.
Waitomo to Taupo (North Island still)
We went to Huka Falls, the falls are 11 metres high and the most visited tourist attraction in NZ, i'm guessing because it's free! Then we went to the skydive jump site. John volunteered us to be in the first group, I didn't want to be but he said we needed to get it over with and because it's totally weather dependent and the weather can change in a matter of minutes I agreed. They have to ask you if you have a cold or problems equalising the pressure in your ears because you can burst your ear drums. Dad as you know I do, so they said it was at my own risk that it can be really painful and they're not liable, they make you sign your life away in a waiver basically. They scared me quite a bit, so I was s*** scared before I met my divemaster Damo, he was amazing! He totally calmed me down and looked after me. It was the most amazing thing i've ever done, it feels totally surreal, it's really hard to explain! You're on such a high after doing it. I can't wait to show you the DVD!
That night we went to Mulligans for the quiz, but had to be up at 5am the next day for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing...
