BALI part two, the 3rd - 6th of February.
Well, here we are again, still in Bali. We were suppose to leave for Australia on the 3rd of February, but then the lightning struck us YET again. We must say, we are very pleased, because we think it would have been quite boring if our travelplans actually DID work out once and for all. Since we are taking turns on being sick, this time it was Lines turn again. This time she decided to get another quite serious, but treatable, disease. It couldn't have anything to do with her last disease, because then the insurance agency wouldn't pay, so she ended up with parasites instead. After 4days of stomach cramps, headache, diarrhea and so on, we took a taxi to Bali International Medical Centre the day before we were suppose to leave for "down under".
There we got to know from the doctor that she could have either a virus, some bacteria or parasites. Parasites was the worse of the three, so what did Line get?? Well we have already told you, but yes, parasites. HIGH FIVE!! And for the second time, Line was hospitalized because of dehydration, and not getting enough food and drink in her system.
After two VERY painful and LONG overnight stays, Line got home to the hotel, and she and Turid was finally together again. Turid could have left by herself to Australia and then Line could have followed a couple of days after, but Turid decided that she also wanted to be miserable in Bali, so she got some headache, nausea and heavy stomach cramps on the same day Line got into the hospital, YEEY!!
Luckily Line has a really helpful dad, and in our crisis situation he called our travel agency and sorted out our tickets so we could leave three days later instead. THANK you Gudmund AKA dad ;-)
We did of course miss 3days of accommodation in Australia, but it doesn't really matter. We're getting used to it. Until now we have missed: A night boat tour with dinner in Hong Kong, accommodation in Thailand, a 10day long Cambodia and Vietnam tour, and now the accommodation in Australia. All we have prepaid for, and it's probably money we will never see again. So our advise is…. NEVER preplan! :D Take only one day at the time, and see first if your health and body is in condition to do what you want;-)
This is the advise that we will try to follow from now on, and hopefully we will get to do something of the prepaid things we have left :-)
Now we're just really exited about getting over to Australia and OUT of Asia!!! Hopefully both our stomachs will settle down over there and we will get to enjoy our trip like "normal" people ;-)
We are, despite everything that has happened, still quite optimistic in the future of our trip, but if anything, we mean ANYTHING else happens now, that puts either one of us in the hospital again we probably give up. Then it would be bye bye trip, hello good old Norway! HOPEfully that will of course never happen Although we miss you all and are looking forward seeing many of you again, we hope we don't see any of your faces before the 3rd of May :D
We will really everyone screaming after us; " TaaaaAAXiiiii???? Jiggy jig massaaaaage???? New wallet, or bag miss??? Transport, transport???? Bracelet?? Braid your hair miss????" but we think we will JUST manage to get over it, and try to enjoy the rest of our trip, whatever we have left of it;-)
Thank you and goodbye for now!
PS: you're ALL welcomed to send some happy thoughts and good luck wishes our way, we will embrace them and take them in to very good use ;-)
