It was a different experience to me. And I loved it.
Now i realize im really good at drinking. After that horrible 'drunk experience' at 8898 in SJ few months ago, I seemed to defeat alcohol! Haaahahaa! Im kidding... Well, after drinking a lot of Japanese wine and beer in the Japanese restaurant, I went to the Red bar(the 4th time? Maybe). Then yeah, lots of beer and 2 Taquilas in a row and another shot for Beth birthday with salt and lemon(very professional)! And all i felt is faint for 1 hour, then I felt totally normal.
Its quite nice to be in the condition of going to be drunk but still being clearedheaded. Im trying to say sth which i dare not say in my life. I can think more. Im more emotional.
I had a good time with the foreigners, I was happy to hear lots of F words and S words from those teachers words. Because that means we are more than teachers and students or co-workers and co-workers, we are friends. We talked more about ourselves and our lives. I appreciated that. Just sitting with Andy and staring at the sky and few sips of drinks made me the happiest person in the world at that moment. I realized i need more hugs and kisses and careness from others. I am too busy to notice the friendship or love or other emotions in my daily life.
Thank you all very much! I love you all!

PS: Happy birthday Jon & Beth!!!

james hamilton hmmm, just the opposite experience. pricey beers, obnoxious european expats, pontificating, belching and just sitting around talking about themselves.. the owners french/chinese are the most casually indifferent to their customers except to engage in banal pleasantries until they offer their difinative opinion that unless you are french/european or agree with the french pretentious husband you'll find yourself waiting a long time for your drink. lousy music, same people, same lame european inebriates. booking place.
william carlson the terrace area is quiet pleasant, it gives the place a movie set exotic far away feel and thats just what youll want to feel a far away place away from the snotty owners who will bore you to tears with their never ending sense of self of cool. lots of drunk germans and too cool for school young english teachers sloppily dressed. i was disappointed frankly. owners very opinionated.
simon curtis i was told by one of my mates to check out this bar while i was working in song jiang as a teacher. i found it easy enough. ok place look wise. beer and drinks are too pricey and the crowd was mostly old german, french engineers or consultants. kind of creepy. the owner is a french nutter who holds court and his wife jukie or yuki is always in a bad mood. music ahhh, ok. i wouldnt go out of my way to find it. other good places in song jiang that are cheaper and nicer customers and owners.
expatman22 A s*** hole of all accounts, the owners are the most boring self centered fukwits one could imagine.
johnnyO Asswipe midget french owner with an obnoxious chinese wife. over priced beer and a dull drunk crowd of european loudmouths who smelled like beer and b.o. aweful.
